Cenk is starting for Turkey against team USA right now on espn2...just thought I'd throw it out there.

Forgot the game was on. AM/PM issues. Cenk has been launching shots.

I'm loving this team already, what a joy they were to watch this morning. Any chance we sticky a USA Basketball thread?

I don't know if they are letting up because it's the 4th quarter, but Turkey is getting good shots off of the pick and roll. No matching the the explosiveness of the USA team on the offensive end though.

In garbage time, Cenk showed some ability getting to the basket as the SG, but seemed a little casual on D (well, a lot casual). Wish I had seen the start of the game. He did finish with 22 pts on 8/14 shooting which ain't bad.

Also, even though they didn't have a lot of closeups on Cenk's face, I got the impression he kinda looks like a young Larry Storch.

He was guarding Lebron/Kobe for a lot of the game, that could make anyone look casual...however he did look kinda garbage on d, he's definitely a bit slow on his feet.

A little surprised by his performance.
Not surprised by the fact he's a bit slow since I already saw this last year, that's why I thought he would never be what expected, especially in the NBA.
Now, this game is kind of All-Star game, so hard to evaluate a player.
