OT: Madden 2009

Anyone purchase it yet? I just got it for the PS3, different than Madden 08 but the gameplay is sweet to go along with the graphics. Thoughts of the game?

I only played the demo but the game seemed really good, not a huge difference in gameplay but AI looks improved, plus special effects (snow etc) cams and player movements are terrific.

btw, EA offered another Favre cover with the Jets uni on their site in PDF for hardcore fans.

Been getting great ratings and the graphics and game play have improved from last year.
I also find the rewind feature pretty interesting.

The big thing I enjoy the most is the off-season. I'm a big fan, of the off-season moves, upgrades, staffing. The draft feature IMO is more realistic, and your capable of getting a coach from another team.

Other than that, the gameplays great. The rewind things interesting Adam, but I've been turning it off. And I usually ended up being better than pro but not good enough for all-pro, so the IQ and playing up to your skills keeps the games intense, and exciting. That's probably my other fave added feature.

The real downfall is the removing cap penalties, like you used to be able to. I learned that the hard way, $22 mill over the cap and really nothing left to the roster lol. So if you want to get rid of a player make sure his bonus isn't TOO high, if it is trade him for a draft pick pending his value.

I just got done with the police academy and have a lot of time on my hand til I start with til I get a job with the sheriffs office.
