interesting article...

Kobe is younger, and that Shaq over there is fatter," said Tony Zhang, 24. "Kobe is today. Shaq is too old."

Thanks for posting the article, but slamming Shaq is borish. He gave us three titles. He always busted ass in the playoffs at least. He's sensitive to a fault that's what bothers the heck outta me. He is not taken seriously anymore. In a couple years if not sooner he may retire. Then the Lakers will retire his number. And Ill thank him again then. Kobe is handling it beautifully, by going about his business. Plaschke is so talented, but he's becoming a whiney cheap headline writer, after many years of fantastic writing. He's much liek TJ simers now, just trying to get people to read their paper.

No, indeed, here in a city filled with sacred homage, the great god Shaq will spend the rest of eternity standing, staring, motionless, stiff arms, heavy legs, no explanations.

Some would call it mystical.

I would call it the 2004 NBA Finals.

So he gives us 3 titles, we trade him and he acts liek a big overly sensitive baby, so we continue to slam on him?

Shaq gave the Lakers 3 years of outstanding ball. It was 12 years without a title and then we roll 3 in a row. The city went crazy, the laker flags were selling and you could not go 5 minutes without seeing one on a car. We all need to remember him for all the great things he did for LA. I wish we could have got another 2 years out of him and maybe another title, you really do not know. I do not care for all the kobe/shaq stuff. That was there business, I just want to remember the 3 years of total dominance and all the teams we made cry as we held parades. One of my favorite moments was the comeback over Portland. Pippen knocking over the towels in the hallway to the locker room. We just deflated that team and they have not been the same since.

Yet he is shown on video asking the star of the Lakers to tell him how is A$$ tastes???

Sorry, as a Laker Fan I like that plachske fired back. That was then, this is now.

He's on a team that a few years was a NBA contender, A team that could be a contender if they stay healthy and he has his head on straight. He is on a team in the same conference as the Lakers. Shaq's fair game.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
