Colts didn't look good against the Bears, now on the road in the Dome will their struggles continue?

will Tavarias be able to manage the game, and avoid the major mistakes?
Can AP match the success Forte had against the Colts in week 1?
Will the defense rise to the challenge and get after Manning and the rest of the offense?

It's hard to evaluate Tarvaris when the receivers don't get open and don't hold on to balls. Again, though, passing on third and short is just asking for shjt to happen. Just. Run. The. Ball.

Arghhh! I am so SICK of this not wanting to pass crap! I know you are scared that we will get a TO but hell man, we got to open it up. The way our D is playing we should be killing these guys. Not barely up. Manning could snap back any moment and we would be screwed.

Run, run, run 3rd down pass is all we do. It's so predictable and teams are all over us on D. And then half the time when T-Jax DOES make a decent pass. Somehow we screw it up. How many TD's has T-Jax been robbed of in his last 6 games? I'm tired of this crap.

I knew this crap was coming. Way too predictable, run, run, run, pass! We run every chance we get then we only pass when we have to make a big play. The D know we are passing, everyone is under pressure, and we drop the ball. How many opportunities do our recievers get? Guys like Rice get maybe 2 chances do anything all game. 70 percent of our passes go to Berrian or Shianco. Shianco drops everything he gets it seems. Our offensive strategy is garbage and when you don't have a great QB you have got to be a bit more creative.

Other than their insistence on handing the keys over to Jackson in the first place, I can't blame the coaches all that much. There's only so much you can do with possibly the worst starting quarterback in the NFL. As the old saying goes, you can't make chicken salad out of chicken isht.

It didn't work, but they were just trying to avoid putting Jackson in a position to lose the game for us by making a crucial mistake -- always a very real possibility with him -- and hopefully grind out the win.

The only thing that really surprises me is that it usually takes teams a good half before they realize they don't have to respect Jackson at all and load up for Peterson. I can only imagine what that kid is going to be capable of when -- or rather, if -- he finally gets a decent QB to play with.

That's what happens when your QB stinks & Chilly's KAO is worse than TJax.

The thing that's frustrating is that we've got some absolute beasts on defense. KWill, PWill & Jared Allen are scary good & E.J. Henderson is pretty good too.

After the season, it's time to fire Chilly & lure Bill Cowher out of retirement, then either trade for Brady Quinn or draft a quality QB. It's just that simple.

I wrote about all that's wrong with the Vikings here:

Most of the rest of the team is built to win now. Pat Williams, Sharper, Birk... these guys aren't getting younger. If it's not TJax, it's gotta be a FA. Drafting a QB is bad mojo for a squad as put together as the Vikes.

I don't disagree. I'm just saying that we'll need to draft a QB if we can't get a quality veteran QB.

We ran the ball plenty, Peterson got 29 carries. I don't know if it's more Tarvaris or the play calling, but we need a mid-range passing. 3rd and 5 or less should be converted at a 50-60 % clip.
