Hass likely out vs Packers. Seneca too

Post#1 » by Danny Darko » Fri Oct 10, 2008 11:19 pm

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8655936/QB-Hasselbeck-likely-out-for-Seahawks

Hasselbeck's sore right knee hasn't received clearance to play against Green Bay, meaning that Charlie Frye will likely be the starter against the Packers, coach Mike Holmgren said after practice Friday.

Frye, the only completely healthy quarterback on the roster, took almost all the snaps in practice this week, while Hasselbeck rested his knee and backup Seneca Wallace nursed a sore calf.

Holmgren said there is still a slight chance Hasselbeck could get cleared to play, but Holmgren must have the belief Hasselbeck won't be at an increased risk with his knee not 100 percent to consider putting him in the game.

So ah..... who's gonna be a coming out in the draft in the top 5?

Crap. This totally sucks this year.

I guess we get to see Charlie in the frying pan(no pun intended).

In other news: Forsett is back and Koren is healthy and will start.

I feel for Seneca. Maybe it's just me but it seems that he always is just arms length away from getting into prime time. Seems that when the Hawks wanted to run him at receiver or on gadget plays over the years one thing or another always seems to prevent it from happening. Now he'd have a chance to start and his calf will keep him out.

Glad that Forsett is back. Looking forward to seeing Koren.

This season's close to spiraling into the crapper. Not that it's not early enough that they couldn't put some wins together if they lose to the Packers, but the Cardinals have a chance to pull away and control their destiny.

Great. Now get Forsett back there returning kicks and punts, because Wilson scares the hell out of me (Bumpus is OK, but I don't see him as a huge return threat).

Touchdown Packers. Now it's 24-10 Packers with 11:23 left in the game. If we don't pull this one out from the fire (doubtful), we're going to be talking MUST wins in the coming weeks only 5 games into the season.

UGH!

Charlie Frye is a piece of ****. And defense has no idea what to do on a 3rd and long...

FG Packers. That's a three possession lead. Absolute garbage.

One thing is for sure. I don't EVER want to see Charlie Frye on the field for the Seahawks again. This is not some knee-jerk thought to me, and I know he's a backup QB thrown into the fire as a starter. He just sucked donkey balls in every possible way this game, showed me nothing that would lead me to believe he's even worth being on the bench for us, in spite of this TD with just over 3 minutes to go in the game.

Frye didn't do anything when it mattered. 3rd down and we need a pass completion to extend the drive? Might as well just take a knee and signal the punting unit.

Oh God, and now they're switching over to the Cards game, where the Cards have a lead and the ball with 2:00 left.
