What would you prefer to watch the game in a suite or be really close up to the court. I have had both (3rd row) and I would choose the close up any day. Its great the players come up to you and talk to you and since your so close you can hear the players getting mad and swearing
, but what would you choose????

Re: Preferences
Probably really close but I've never been in a suite so it's questionable.

Re: Preferences
I like the free food and drinks in the suite. But, I'd probably take 3rd row instead.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I go to games to watch basketball, not eat and drink the whole time. I have row 20 seats behind the Jazz' bench and it's incredible, can't imagine what 3rd row would be like.

Re: Preferences
Well the good thing about a suite is there is good food and you can get some peace and quiet if that is what you like. Now there are two different sweets at the ESA. The ones above the nosebleeds which suck, and the sky boxes which I am sure are awesome.
Overall though I am sure the 3rd row is better.

Ive been in AT&T sky box many a times for winning sales competitions and I have to say that tops anywhere Ive sat in the ESA. I like a little higher view, the seats are a little bigger and of course free everything.

Re: Preferences
If they were season tickets (and money weren't an object obviously), I'd probably go with the suite. If we're talking for one game or a few games, I'd go with the third row seats.
Had floor seats during the last game Hornacek played in Philadelphia in -- what was it, 2001? -- and that was pretty fantastic. Also watched a game there in 2002 from a suite, which was likewise awesome. The soft pretzels they had there were amazing, and there was an enormous basket of them. Endless pretzels + Coke + Corona = top flight. There was a good view of the court too.

Re: Preferences
I've had both as well and for me it's a no brainer, 3rd row all the way. Although the free beer is nice...

Re: Preferences
like JStock said, id take the suite if it was for a whole season...if i wanted to see a couple games 3rd row im sure id have no trouble trading them for a couple. But if it were only a couple games, 3rd row no questions asked. ive had 2nd row next to the jazz bench before and it was incredible. Ostertag told my friend he needed a haircut...he was kind of a dick but we loved him just the same

Re: Preferences
3rd row for the exciting games, suites for the more mundane ones. My last game was 3rd row behind the basket. It's nice but cramped if sitting next to another dude, even if you aren't really fat. My next game I would likely choose suite. If the beer is free it could completely offset the cost of the ticket.

Re: Preferences
Up close for good, tight games. Suite for everything else. I love being able to get up and move around the suites, and the food is pretty tasty. It still doesn't compare to being close to the floor during an exciting game, though.

Re: Preferences
I've only been down in the lower bowl twice--both times up near the top of the lower bowl behind one of the baskets. The second one was during a playoff game last year against the Rockets--talk about ringing ears--it was noisy but a ton of fun. We sat there making fun of the obviously underage girl who kept sniping the last 1/4 of the beer cup from the guy next to her. She probably ended up with a full cup before the game was over--with some dudes backwash no less...
That said, if I'm with a group I probably go suite but just me and a friend I go down low--no question. But back outside of my fantasy world--I usually end up in the upper bowl for the cheaper seats when I'm able to go.

When I had a ticket for the 3rd row it was last year when we played the spurs (a close game) and it was amazing I was directly across from the players and i got the best pictures of the players

That did suck, how it turned out. I remember John was ice-cold that game -- one of the only times I can recall him being that out of sorts.
