Assuming a trade that I have goes down, which has been agreed upon that had me sending Nash out. This is a 14 team head to head league.
Jason Terry
Vince Carter
Luol Deng
Josh Smith
Mike Dunleavy
Jermaine O'Neal
Chris Kaman
Chris Wilcox
Ronny Turiaf (replacement on my Haywood pick)
Leandro Barbosa
Travis Outlaw
Francisco Garcia
Derek Fisher
I'm questionable on Turiaf, but feel he might be able to rack up decent stats on a fast paced Warriors team. What kind of moves would you make for this team?

Re: my team needs tweaking?
Oh god...
Dude, Sorry to say, thats a very average to run of the mill team...
Carter's numbers are going to drop with age, and hes not as efficient as he used to be. He just had a hamstring injury. Terry is good, but your're missing out on a solid PG with good assists.
I don't see that with Barbosa or Fisher.
Jermaine is an injury risk, and won't post better than 16/9/2 in my opinion. You'll be lucky if he plays 65 games this season. Wilcox is a decent PF, but he provides little to no blocks.
Josh Smith is a great pick, but I don't know why you went with deng. He has good averages and decent rebounds, but his regressed a little. He doesn't provide great numbers in steals/blocks/3's...
Dunleavy is a decent pick as well...
You're missing an outright super start though. You need a player who can get you 8 assits per game, and a solid 18/10 PF minimum. These should be your best players at the PG/PF position. You lack both of them at this point.

Re: my team needs tweaking?
As I noted above, I traded Steve Nash. I like the balance on my team and I'm pretty much tanking assists.
I disagree on Carter, I think his stats will be inflated as he plays for a rebuilding Nets squad. I think Deng is going to rebound after signing his fat contract and I like O'neal to stay healthy with the Raps being cautious and playing him around 30-32 minutes to keep him fresh. Wilcox was a late pick for me, a really late pick, so I liked the value there. Dunleavy is ranked what 20th overall on yahoo? I think 21/5/4 on good shooting percentages, a lot of 3's and steals is very good. So I pretty much don't agree at all with your assessment, but thanks for dropping by..

Re: my team needs tweaking?
You're banking on a player who's player no more thant 65-67 games per season for the last 3 years in O'neal.
Has dunleavy built a foundation to say that last years stats werent a fluke? He could very well go right back to posting subpar numbers for a player of his talent level. Either way, I said he was a decent pick, hes not spectacular though.
Carter has already gotten injured, and is visibly on the decline.
I think your weak points are scoring/steals/assists/
You're decent in rebounds...As kaman's numbers are going to decrease/Josh only averages 8 per game, and O'neal has decline plus theres the chance he misses another 25 or so...
So when you're poor-average in 4 of the 9 categories, I'm not sure how you can say your team is balanced...

J.O was worth the risk for where i took him. 5th or 6th round iirc.
Dunleavy will be just fine in the Pacers system, that's not even a concern, those numbers were not a fluke.
Carter's hamstring injury is not serious at all, in fact he's talking about playing in tomorrow's pre season game. He had a down season, but I wouldn't say he's on a steep slope downward, not yet.
How am I weak in scoring with when for the exception of Turiaf they're all double digit scorers? Smith (he's due for a jump), Dunleavy and Deng (same) are all near 20 point scorers and Kaman around 16-17, Carter should be well over 20 this year, Barbosa and Terry over 15 each and Wilcox at 13-14. O'neal should be good for 15-16 as well.
Assists, agreed.
Steals? Terry, Dunleavy, Barbosa, Deng, Garcia, Outlaw and Fisher all get over a steal a game and Smith at 1.5.
I'd say my rebounding numbers will depend hugely on how healthy Kaman and O'neal stay. Deng should get near 7 a game and Smith should stay or improve his numbers IMO.
We just don't see on eye to eye on really anything eyeatoma..

Re: my team needs tweaking?
Steals you're going to be middle of the pack. You need atleast 1-2 player who average 1.8-2 spg to even have a shot at being a league leader.
Its a board wide consensus that Carter is on the decline. Last years numbers should tell you something. Dunleavy, it still remains to be seen. You're putting a lot of faith into players just finding their mojo or magically becoming healthy. Its ok for 1 or 2 players, but not for 4 - 5 on your team.

Re: my team needs tweaking?
A good team of small name-big performers. Get rid of Barbosa and Wicox for whatever you can as they have much better reps than stats.

Re: my team needs tweaking?
considering it's a 14 team league I would call this a decent team.
By category:
Scoring - Vince, Deng, Terry and Dunleavy
Reb's - Kaman, JO, Smith and possibly Wilcox/Turiaf if they can start a few games
Assists - Carter, Dunleavy and Fisher and are admittedly weak
Blocks - Kaman, JO, Smith, Turiaf should be good
Steals - Smith, Barbosa, Vince, Dunleavy, and Garcia
3's - Vince, Terry, Dunleavy, Barbosa
It would be easier to say how good your team is if I could look at the other teams because I'm not in any 14 team leagues.
Players I really like - Josh, and possibly Kaman depending on when you got him
Players I'm cool on - Terry (think he's going to keep sliding down), Dunleavy (not sold, needs to do it again), Vince (is an injury risk and will he be motivated), Wilcox ( so much competition in the front court with Collison, Green, Joe Smith, Petro, Sene, Swift)
Players I'm ok with but not going out of my way to have - Deng (doesn't do much but score, decent %'s)
I do like Garcia this year so he could help you out in quite a few cat's......
