So after 7 weeks the Bears are 4-3 as are the Packers, but the Bears have an easier schedule for the rest of the season. Both the Bears and the Packers have games at home against Detroit and Houston, and a game on the road against the Vikings. Then we play each other twice. Assuming that the Bears and the Packers are equal teams we will have equal records with all those games being played, but there are 4 other games in the season that are easier for the Bears than the Packers.
The Bears play the Titans, Saints, and Jaguars at home. The Packers play all of those teams on the road. Then the Bears have a game against the Rams in St. Louis, while the Packers play the Panthers in Green Bay.
The Vikings are 3-4 but our schedule is easier than theirs also. We both play Houston and Green Bay at home, and we play Tennessee at home while they play the Giants at home. I think that the Giants and Titans right now are both about equal to each other.
Then we have to play the Vikings in Minnesota, which assuming that these two teams are equal to each other will be an easier game for the Vikings.
But for the rest of the season our schedule is easier. We play the Lions at home, they play the Lions in Detroit. We play the Jaguars at home, they play the Jaguars in Jacksonville. We play the Rams at home, they get the Falcons at home. We have to play in Green Bay, they have to play in Arizona. We get New Orleans at home, they have to play Tampa in Tampa.
So, assuming that the Bears, Vikings, and Packers are all equally good, the Bears should win the division.

You know, unless we're cursed to win a game, lose a game in the fourth quarter late...which seems to be a popular trend.

Not a bad write up, but sill, that's why they play the games. Anything could happen.
I mean if not for 3 plays we could be 7-0 (or at least 6-1...) and considered the best team in the NFL, and already closing in on clinching a playoff berth.

Yep, playing GB for first place is just a great thing. Too bad there's no BF in GB.
