I thought the idea all along was you don't trade for Santana because you can just buy CC this season. He is bigger, younger, and appears that his best years are still in front of him.

I tend to agree, He will provide a huge upgrade over andy pettite who he will replace in the rotation.

We need C.C. Sabathia because he is the only pitcher we have (with the exception of Wang) that is capable of going deep into games.
