Manu?

Post#1 » by DeShaunRed » Sat Oct 25, 2008 4:08 am

Hi guys. I'm playing H2H league and here's my current line up.

PG - Chris Paul
SG - Jamaal Crawford
G - Devin Harris
SF - Rashard Lewis
PF - Carlos Boozer
P - David Lee
C - Greg Oden
C - Erick Dampier

Util - Chris Duhon
Util - Al Thornton
BN - JR Smith

However, somebody waived/dropped Manu Ginobili. I'm actually thinking about adding him. I know my team is a sucker is a bit short in BLK and REB, but I'm looking forward in trading Manu or someone else to get someone who can block and rebound.

Questions:

- Who should I drop so that I can add Manu? Is it worth it?
- I'm thinking about using Manu as a trade bait, am I doing a rational thing or just keep him? (I know Manu's injured but he'll be back in mid-December, I think, and hopefully in good shape)
- What do you guys think?

Thanks a lot for your comments, suggestions and answers. And, FYI, it's actually my first time to play in a fantasy league.

duhon sucks. so him. you can find better statistical pgs in the FAs later. for example, i'd rather have steve blake than chris duhon. at least blake can pass AND shoot threes.

manu is worth the gamble.

I would say drop either Ericka or Duhon. But yea, id definitely take manu over either of those guys, just make sure that u get good value for ginobili if u do decide to trade him, maybe target a guy like al harrington or Jermaine O'Neal (big injury risk, but could pay off big time if he stays healthy). Ginobili's value will continue to raise as he gets closer to returning, so make sure to ask for more as time goes by.

Thank you for your replies guys. I'm also thinking about dropping Erick Dampier for Nene Hilario but I'm thinking twice also.
FG% FT% 3PM PTS REB AST STL BLK TO
Dampier .643 .575 0 440 539 63 24 106 80
Nene .408 .551 0 85 87 15 9 14 21

I compared their stats in 07-08 but we know Nene played only 16 games last season. IMO, Nene's number will go up since he's going to be the Nuggets' starting C.

What do you guys think?
