Bruins-Stars Game. Fighting is back.

Post#1 » by Celtics_Champs » Sun Nov 2, 2008 1:57 am

Sorry, no youtube highlights yet...

But Wow. If your an old school hockey brawl kind of guy, you need to watch the highlights of this game. Unless you hate the bruins, or are a stars fan.

Here is my summary, now don't call me a bruins homer. Ok you can..

Steve Ott acted like scum, going after lucic and yelle's knees. But never fought. Andrew Ferrence got even by clocking him with a clean hit. Avery chose to fight for Ott, but got knocked down in 4 punches by ferrence. Ott was finally kicked out of the game with 8 minutes to go. He came back out of the dressing room, undressed, just in time to see avery lay yet another cheap hit on lucic. But Marc Savard, who I have NEVER seen fight. Jumped on top of avery and just started throwing punches to averys face. Savard might get disciplined for that I don't know. Then the camera panned to Hnidy who was handling with ease his guy.

Sorry, just a little excited. This could be the best game the bruins will play this season. They handled cheap shots, by fighting and kicking ass. Turco even had a cheap shot to kessels face, and we responded by chanting TUR-CO. TUR-CO. And the bruins scored 5 goals against him. Man I wish I went to that game.

Downside-refs really let this game get out of control.

 thanks.

If you think Jack Edwards and Brick were homers in those ones. You should have heard him the whole game.

"Oh Hey Steve, there you are Brave Steve" after steve ott came out to look at the action.

"Every parent wants their child to grow up and be a shawn thornton" LOL

That made me laugh.

I know this is exciting, and every once in awhile good for the game. . .

BUT. . . .

Hull has some work to do. What a talented team last year, you bring in Avery (after losing Hagman and Miettenen) and this happens. The game itself, or action (aside from the cheap shots. . those were terrible. . I am speaking of the brawls and fights) was great, but when Dallas's two leaders, Morrow and now Modano, are using words like embarrassed, and speaking of leaving the team, talking about hating teammates. . . this is just a bad situation overall

Sean Avery is a cancer. Everywhere he has gone, he has hurt the team.
