New play on offense? Kidd & Dirk two man game

Did you guys notice this? They have this new play that I've never seen before. They did this a lot during the fourth quarter run that iced the game last night. It was a side pick and roll on the left wing with Dirk and Kidd while everybody else overloaded the other side. This opens up a lot of spaces for the two to operate. What I saw last night was so effective, they have so many different options. Dirk could roll to the basket, flare out for an open jumper, Kidd can go to the basket, hit the occasional jumper, and post the smaller PG. Another thing that can happen is a switch happens and Dirk would be matched up with the PG. We see that a couple times yesterday with Parker and Dirk. I know this happens a couple times before but this time it's much better because of the overload on the other side. Worst case scenario they can just give the ball to Dirk and let him work out something. I have been waiting for the Mavs to come up with a go-to play for Dirk and Kidd. We all know Dirk and Terry have their pick and roll game but I think Kidd's passing makes this play much more dangerous. What do you think fellow Mavs fan?

Unfortunately, the Mavs make picking apart the Spurs look easy. Its the Hornets, the Lakers and (this year) the Rockets we need to worry about. We have matched up well against the spurs when no one else in the league could. Nothing changed.
