ESPN reports Justin Tuck was fined $7,500 for his hit on Bollinger last week.
What's wrong with this hit? He doesn't lead with his helmet and it's not late. According to the NFL, the fine is because he fell on Bollinger with all his weight. How in the hell could anyone keep that from happening?
This hit is textbook.

Calling a penalty on him was bad enough, fining him adds insult to injury.

They are just trying to make the game more friendly to the Europeans.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

Re: Tuck gets fined
This is one of the reason's why I don't care for the NFL anymore. It's tackle football. Not flag/touch football. Perfectly clean hit. Quarterbacks should just wear a red jersey from now on like they do in practice.
Football is becoming more of a spotlight sport anymore. Whenever a player tackles another player, even if it's for a 20 yard gain, they go insane. They act as if they just won $80 billion dollars. It's a joke. And then when a player gets injured. I love how they lay on the ground as if they are dead, the play stops, the game goes to a commercial and then 30 seconds later, the player walks off the field with nothing wrong. Situations like this, a player needs to be give a delay of game penalty. You know something is seriously wrong with you. Half of these players do it just to do it. They aren't hurt and they know it.

I know what you're thinking. We're in the middle of a city, what's a hawk doing there?

NEW YORK -- The NFL fined five players Friday for on-field actions during last weekend's games, including Minnesota's Jared Allen $50,000 for two below-the-knee hits on Houston quarterback Matt Schaub.
Allen also was listed as doubtful on the injury report for the upcoming game against Green Bay.
Jacksonville defensive tackle John Henderson and Cincinnati guard Andrew Whitworth were fined $10,000 each for fighting. Henderson and Whitworth exchanged punches after Henderson knocked off Whitworth's helmet, then appeared to try to gouge his eyes. Both players were penalized and ejected Sunday.
Henderson also got an additional $5,000 fine for illegal hands to the face when he struck Whitworth.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley was fined $10,000 for slamming Washington quarterback Jason Campbell to the ground in Monday night's game. Campbell banged his head on the turf when hit.

This is getting ridiculous now. I know they have to protect the QBs but at the speed at which a play happens a player can't just back off. A flag should be enough but 50k is crazy.

What everyone above has been saying. When I saw the hit, I didn't even think anything of it, much less a fine.

I say a hit like that in a high school game last night. No penalty, just the whole crowd cheering

Re: Tuck gets fined
Goodell is rescinding the fine. He said he didn't even see it til yesterday or today (forget what the article said). So, the man can hand out fines without even SEEING the play? Great job, Rog!
