No one decided they wanted to do it. I initially did, but was reluctant after the BEARS just bearly (intentional mis-spelling) beat the Lions. I thought I'd give someone else to make it but no one step forward. So voila, I'll take the blame!

Onus (not to get to get too creative or confused with DougThOnus) is on the DEFENSE, IMO.

If they fail, all that smiles and chuckles will be wiped clean real quick. I'm still angry about last week. So I'm gonna say F- It with all the pictures. JUST WIN, and WIN CONVINCINGLY! Plain and simple!

Seeking a special-teams spark, Bears to sub Manning for Hester

Expect Danieal Manning to be the No. 1 guy on kick returns Sunday when the Bears face the Rams, although nothing is etched in stone.

He's not Devin Hester. Doesn't claim to be, doesn't even want to label himself in the same category as his star teammate.

But Manning is prepared to do whatever it takes to give the Bears a boost in the return game with Hester mired in a funk.

"Devin has set the bar so high that people expect every time he touches the ball, he needs to score … every time," Manning said. "Sometimes I expect him to score, and I'm his teammate.

Again - I just don't think Hester is the problem although he is guilty of sometimes trying to make something where nothing is there and you get a lot of east-west running. The holes aren't there for Devin - he didn't forget how to run. Even when he does find room, our special teams unit inevitably commits a penalty.

Yeah, by 7.5 i think. St. Louis is really, really bad. Worst OL in the league, best weapon in Steven Jackson is out, Bulger is playing horrible and Green has gotten PT in recent weeks, their pass and run defense both suck...

We should win handily. Of course there's always the possibility that our DL can't do anything vs the worst OL in football (might happen), and whoever plays QB for them tears up our secondary (might happen). But still, our offense should have a good day vs a crappy defense.
