Pacer Fan,

Ironically here in Orlando, lol

Wanted to say Im really really looking forward to this game. I am very anxious to see TJ vs DJ. As you know prior to the JO trade all of the pre-drafts had us taking Augustine, until we got Ford. I have not seen the games he played this year but since moving into the starting lineup I cant ignore the statistics

What do you think of DJ so far?
What do you think of LB?
Why are you trading Wallace?
Greatest need?

Good luck and any questions regarding the Pacers, fire away!!

Thanks

DJ is really awesome! It's great having a pg around that isn't as offensively deficient (shooting wise) as Brevin Knight and who isn't Jeff McInnis (period). Felton has been much improved this season and I think the challenge of DJ being around is probably a factor.

LB is hit or miss around the board. Offense has been not good, but depending on who you ask it's better in theory. Personally, spacing looks much better, plays are executed at the end of quarters or after time outs and the rotation couldn't be any worse than it was under Vincent. Check out some of the threads around here, but basically LB serves as a filter going forward for what has happened during the history of the franchise. Either he (1) whips these guys into an actual, coherent basketball team, (2) casts the misfits elsewhere for guys that will work, or (3) will fail terribly and we'll FINALLY be bad enough to get a high percentage shot at a top 3 pick.

The Bobcats are a wing heavy team. Dudley plays well and Ammo has been WAAAAAY better this season. Many of us believe Richardson is a more than capable SF and Wallace is probably best as an undersized PF--unfortunately because of his concussion history we're hesitant to do that. All of that understood, he's a very good player, likely the most valuable trade chip we have, which is precisely why he's been in all of these trade rumors. It's been hypothesized that Wallace is not a strong candidate for success within a highly structured offense like LBs, but until we see the current squad at full strength for a couple of games it's impossible to say.

A big that can score on the low block and command double teams. Otherwise a big that can stretch the floor. At the very least, a big that can guard rangy pfs that understands boxing out and can help on the glass.

Jrich should be back tonight. Pacers have good enough bigs that Okafor will probably have to stay at home close to the basket (where he feels most comfortable anyway) but we don't have anyone to guard a guy like Troy Murphy who will just shoot over a taller defender and post up anyone smaller. I imagine Richardson and Wallace and maybe Shannon Brown take turns trying to guard Granger.

The Bobcats are a wing heavy team

Boy that sounds familiar, lol

Thanks for the detailed report. Man you know its dead when you have 2 posts before game time on the game thread, and one is the visitor. I can relate to that.

Should be a good game , like I said I want to see Ford vs DJ and Granger vs Wallace

good luck

I am confused. I'm on Bald Head Island (think Wilmington) with DirectTv. My billing address is Charlotte. I thought I'd be able to watch the game, but nooooooo.

I think that's one of the reasons the game threads tend to be a little bare. If you live outside of Charlotte, watching a game is so darn hard.

Apparently, May is starting because LB likes to play guys when they come home.

I guess we should expect to see:
DJ start at New Orleans and Houston.
Shannon and Nazr start in Chicago.
Dudley and Hollins in LA.
Hammer in Philly.

Yea, you have to go above and beyond to watch the games for sure. Bobcatsplanet has come through for me so far. Tonight I got lucky and the game is on TV in Raleigh.

Ammo's farmer's tan gets worse and worse as the season progresses... how is that even possible? Does he ONLY where short sleeves?

Fixed.

Did Ammo really block Hibbert a while back?

Sounds like we're playing pretty well.

Okafor had a really great first quarter. Rich and May look rusty, but otherwise we look pretty good tonight. I was snacking on leftovers though, so I wasn't a captive audience or anything... plenty of time left on the clock to disappoint me.

Troy Murphy, what do you guys think of him? I always like his game, he can be a good fit next to Okafor.

Sorry about that, wasn't thinking about you satellite guys. What a drag. We should get a gift from the cats or something, all of the work they put the die hards through just to watch these sometimes lovable losers.

Box has Ammo with 2, so it must've happened, though I missed it.

Yeah, he would. His contract has always been the drawback with him tho.

Crash with 3 steals already.

Oh no problem. I always take every opportunity to let any employees for the Bobcats see how pissed I am about them blocking me out.

And wasn't the article about viewership being down like 60% the other day quite ironic?

Wow, 9 TOs for IND already. Bout time that's someone other than us!

Felts playing well. If only he could do that like every 2 out of 3 games.

The guy with almost half of his team's points, idk... maybe we should be guarding him?
