November 28th: Memphis Grizzlies @ San Antonio Spurs
The Grizzlies continue on their current schedule of playing the same team within a small time frame by heading to San Antonio. After another poor third quarter (started well, but ended the same), the Grizzlies look to see if they can make any improvements over the last time.

The Grizz bench gets outscored 64 to 2 in this game. Either that's hilarious or it's insulting. Either way, it's still a loss.

I really have to hand it to the Spurs GM, RC Buford. That guy has a knack for finding non mainstream players that work for Popowich. Look at George Hill. The guy was a low pick and he seems like he was made for the Spurs system. Same with Roger Mason. Stuck behind both Caron Butler and Gilbert Arenas in Washington he has been in the league a while yet never got recognition.
Now with both Parker and Ginobli back they have two great depth guys off the bench and both have shown they can handle big minutes as well.
That's the sort of thing Memphis absolutely needs to have. Bench scoring for the Grizzlies plus the added need of perimiter defence would be huge. Would it really have been that difficult to have gotten both these guys? That's where having the skill for evaluating talent and need comes in. It's no wonder the Grizzlies are where they are. I hate to say it but their GM isn't at the same level as others.

Talk about a stat that jumps off the page.

Well to be fair, Wallace has had only one full season and has done pretty well with it for the most part. I think only negatives so far were the Jacobsen signing and the Navarro trade, both of which have been minor IMO. With the Grizzlies doing poorly we don't have low picks to work with since West unfortunately traded away so many of them. And now recent moves keeps us from having them for a little longer.
