I woulodn't do it , Quality>>Quantity but It's good value if we were looking to trade Battier but we are not.

We trying to win now. I wouldnt do it. Kapono is just a shooter, nothing more. If his shot is off he is useless. Moon would be our 3rd SF so no way. And the first rounder would be a mid to late pick so no way.

Not even close. As I said before any trade based on Kapono for Battier is unrealistic. Houston has little use of Kapono's service. And Houston certainly don't need Kapono's ugly contract. There are only two Raptors Houston need. Kapono is certainly not one of them.

btw Kapono's contract doesn't end in 2010. He has a player option for 2011. which he will definitely exercise. I don't think he can find anybody else willing to pay him 6M+ in the league.

Only if the pick was the First Pick and Ricky Rubio was available.
There was the possibility Battier was discussed this summer-but it would have been to Portland for their #13 and either Webster/Frye or Outlaw/Jack-Rodriguez,all of which are significantly better than a backup SG and a First.

However Battier isn't being traded because he's part of the Team Ron Support Group and as long as Artest is a Rocket,Battier stays.(And it looks like Ron is going to get a nice offer to stay.)

Maybe Anthony Parker with Moon or Kapono, and a first packaged with them if we were looking to trade. But Battier's probably the last person that we would think of trading imo

Battier is too good of a defender to give up. His value to our team is overlooked, and he's underrated defensively, got screwed a couple of years for all-nba defensive team.

You say moon expiring as if its beneficial. Jamario moon is barely getting paid,,,,,the fact that its expiring is completely irrelevant and gives us two players at the same position that we dont need players for.

Dont mean to be very critical but thats a horrible trade idea. Considering we need an upgrade from raefor (i like brooks off the bench) and help on the boards or a back up center for yao getting a SF one whos over paid (kapono makes 7 mill a year to hit 3 pointers and turn the ball over and is not a good defender) and jamario moon who expires but doesnt save money is a bad trade. The first rounder isnt lottery either.
