I'm just a curious fan. Anyone know why he came off the bench as opposed to starting?

The announcers said he was late to shoot around; but apparently he was yanked out of the game and chastised on the bench at Nola (last game) for lack of defensive effort - so who knows for sure.

More likely it was Rudy being late to shoot around today that earn him a spot coming off the bench.

I really hate being a conspiracy theorist, but I am beginning to recognize that it may just be my nature. Normally for such an infraction the superstar or star is in the game within two to three minutes. I don't know if Iavaroni fell asleep or forgot he was on the team but he missed most of the first quarter, so I would have to say a message was being sent which is actually pretty good because as a team they seemed to respond.

That's another possibility. it goes back to what jefe said about Rudy gettin yanked for not playin defense against NO last week. Maybe MI could've send a message to Rudy by holdin him out like that if that's the case.
