The procedure performed on the left knee of Pro Bowl left tackle Walter Jones was more involved than coach Mike Holmgren originally announced during his radio show this morning.

Jones had microfracture surgery, where holes are drilled in the bone to allow blood to seep through and form cartilage. That the procedure was done on a non-weight baring bone will reduce the recovery period, Holmgren said.

But the 12-week recovery period Holmgren talked about on his radio show is incorrect. Jones is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in late-July.

Oh man I hope he ends up all good. I'd take a declining Walt over anyone we have or could draft(oher included)
