triangle offense

Post#1 » by nashill » Mon Dec 15, 2008 1:52 am

if suns cant get a real back up point guard, why not use triangle offense when nash isnt on the court. i thought this offense doesnt really need a point guard to set a play. and we have shaq, hill and richardson to make this offense perfect.

i think suns need backup PF more than a backup pg now that diaw is gone.

you make it sound like the triangle offense is something that can be learned in 1 practice.

I think Luke Walton is still on Chapter 2 and he has been on PJ's leash for how long?

The triangle is not for this team.

Name the team's post scorers.

Aside from Shaq, there isn't a significant one on the team (and I mean in terms of guys who are comfortable in the low block), and we don't really have a good passing 4 (anymore... Hey Diaw, 'sup?) anymore... and even when we did, he didn't have the jumper to pull it off.

The Suns aren't set up for the triangle and Barbosa isn't a hot option to run the point.

Hill is a nice triangle entry man but they don't have a dominant 2-guard scorer to pair with Shaq.

It's not a good idea.

Go Sloan; with Deron injured and Boozer out (or with both on the bench), he changed from his wing pick-and-roll offense to a flex continuity offense with his lesser players. That's a better bet.

The triangle won't work in Phoenix because they don't have a significant perimeter scorer if Nash is sitting and Nash isn't big enough to be the 2 or the 3, nor can he post anyone up at the 1.
