Not sure what to do with Sheed

Post#1 » by G35 » Fri Dec 19, 2008 10:49 pm

Sheed has been playing like crap for the past almost month. FG% is .411, 11ppg, 6 reb's, 1 asst, 1 stl, 1 blk. He's getting into the drop zone imo. In roto I think you can hide him on your bench and hope he turns it around. In head to head he is a liability.

I think it would be hard to trade him. Sheed is one of those limbo players that has too much potential to drop and hard to get trade value for him. Anyone else going thru the Sheed blues.......
I'm so tired of the typical......

If you're playing in a 9-cat league, you're flat out crazy. He's been top 40 (by average) for every season in recent memory, and he rarely has injury problems on top of that. He'll finish top 40 again this year, and I see nothing wrong with his recent stats to suggest otherwise.

As well, if you look at his stats from last year to this year...in averages, they are comparable to recent years! I am actually trying to trade for him!

He always has stretches of lower stats. His value comes from the games where he hits 4 3's and gets 3 steals and 3 blocks. Then the next game he'll get 9 pts 4 rebs and nothing else. You might as well ride him out, but don't drop him no matter what. He is great for 3s, steals, and blocks and not much else, but the smaller #s in those categories don't mean that he isn't valueable.

Sheed has unique value. Most teams will hate him because of his poor FG for a center, but he can be a match-winner for your team. I have rolled the dice on him in FFL.
