Greetings

Post#1 » by mamba81 » Wed Dec 31, 2008 8:29 pm

Hello,

For the last year or so I thought the only place to talk Wolves was KFAN RubeChat, until recently I stumbled upon this board. Recently I've had enough of that place and the people that call themselves fans.

The thing that did it for me was Zod posting a "Positivity Thread" with pictures of dead wolves. Well many things did it for me but I'm glad there is another place on this huge interweb where Wolves fans gather.

I hope the vibe is a little better, and a little more sensible. :)

I'm Chad (Mamba) by the way.

See you around,

-Mamba

Haha, very few have actually caught on to my screen name like that. I am first and foremost a Wolves fan, mamba81 has just been my SN for the longest.

Welcome Mamba. Glad to have another dedicated wolves fan on board. This forum is much, MUCH better than KFAN and everyone gets along for the most part.

Well there is a difference between constructive negativity and stupidity. They hit that mark. The way they talk, they shouldn't be fans.

Anyways the SN is oviously "Mamba" for Kobe, and 81 for his 81 points. Always been a huge Kobe fan, so it is what it is.

I had season tickets to the Wolves last year and went to over 30 games. So I am a Wolves fan through and through.

I'm glad there's a better vibe here.

I actually enjoyed that post, thought it was funny. The constant ramblings about Mayo are what annoy me the most. You'll like it a lot better over here.

Yea, here, the constant ramblings about Mayo are usually trumped by the constant ramblings of Brandon Roy. Its great!!!

This is kind of funny. Even though my join date on here is relatively new, i've been a lurker for well over a year on these real gm boards and I actually learned about the KFAN boards through this board, and signed up over there and have spent most of my time over there. For whatever reason they weren't allowing me to create an account on RealGM so I never did until recently.

Anyway, I imagine that Mamba probably learned of this board when Zito linked to this board the other day, which is kind of the same way I found out about KFAN is by someone linking it over here at RealGM awhile back, just thought that was coincidental.

I live over at Twolvesblog.com but I read this forum as well as KFAN . This forum has the most in depth and thoughtfull insight. KFAN is entertaining but more discussion is done about the posters than the Wolves. This is a good place.

I'm just now going to kfan's boards for the first time. Wish me luck. Usually I just listen to the radio broadcast.

I'm at work now, opened the page, and of course I met with a giant picture of a female volleyball player's backside. GREAT! :-)

I used to be in the same boat pre-RealGM, on those Rube Chat boards. I was just a young immature little brat back then, not the polished individual here now.

My screenname was golden, it was John Stamos, and I had a little picture of John Stamos as my avatar.

You'll like it here alot if you're optimistic.

This is my first forum, I thought the people here were a weird cult after seeing the "Official KG shrine"; it threw me off a bit, but I now know that these people have some intelligent conversations and know so much about the Wolves and the NBA.

Ok I likely will never go back to rubechat. :-) But I'm a creature of habit. It was tough coming back to realgm when they changed the forums.

Although the "positivity" thread with dead wolves was actually funny. but I have a sick sense of humor.
