Why are MSU receivers filled with crazy?

Do the MSU Receivers coaches give them crazy pills? Shoot them up with crazy juice? Feed them crazy dumplings? Why do they always come out bonkers? I'm an MSU fan, but I hope I never have a daughter that dates an MSU WR. Relative to most, Charles Rogers comes out looking like a hard-working, well-adjusted member of society.

First Team Crazy Receivers:
WR1 - Mark Ingram
Any time your name and "on the lam" are part of a front page Yahoo news article, chances are you're not in good shape. He spent a month running from police to avoid prison time for money laundering and cashing counterfeit checks. He has a profile on America's Most Wanted.

WR2 - Plaxico Burress
He shot himself in the leg in a club. Not much more needs to be said than that. It capped off a year when he was fined 7,421 times by the New York Giants.

Second Team Crazy Receivers:
WR1 - Andre Rison
When choosing prospective mates, try going for the one that's not going to burn your house down. "Bad Moon" Rison has been arrested numerous times for being a deadbeat dad, and not even a week ago he was arrested for public drunkenness on the riverwalk in San Antonio.

WR2 - Charles Rogers
His 2008 consisted of being out of the NFL, when he should be in his prime. So what did he do if he wasn't beating up men and taking pain on the gridiron? He was beating up women and taking pain medication (vicodin!). He's also been ordered to pay back $8.5 million to the Detroit Lions for violating the substance abuse policy.

The only disappointments so far are Muhsin Muhammad and Courtney Hawkins. Where are the rap sheets, guys?
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.
