Report: Jets To Name Rex Ryan Head Coach
19th January, 2009 - 12:55 am
New York Daily News - Just moments after Sunday’s AFC championship game ended, multiple media outlets reported that Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan will be named the coach of the Jets on Monday or Tuesday.

The Ravens’ season ended with a loss to the Steelers on Sunday, freeing Ryan to accept the job with the Jets.

Ryan is expected to be named the coach on Monday and formally introduced on Tuesday, the New York Daily News reported. [READ]

First move of the offseason and im loving it. Ryan brings that intensity to our team that we have been lacking, no more of this laid back crap. Wishing him the best.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

Love it, hopefully he can develop Gholston and turn Harris into Ray Lewis!

We will still run a 3-4 defense with Ryan. He singled out Jenkins, Harris, Pace and Rhodes. The heart of what it takes to run a 3-4 defense. He will mix it up running a hybrid and probably some 46 plays as well.

I doubt that, I think it'd be more of a 3-4 stack formation rather than just straight up 4-3 or 46. We don't really have the personel for the OLBs of a 4-3 or 46.
