Adelman needs to stop being an ass and give him some PT, its obvious we're having defensive problems when Yao's not here, and Deke will help us out alot.

The problem is that Deke can't keep up with anyone. Who do you put him on against the Pistons?

Dikembe's defense hasn't been based on shutting anyone down. He's a guy who makes the best out of situations, and that's why he's a shot-stuffer, not a post lockdown guy, at least at his age. Even when he defended guys like Hakeem and the Admiral in his heyday they would still get his, but because Mutombo made the statements, his blocks affected the rest of the team.

Remember "The Streak" when Yao was out? The whole team centers their defense around Mutombo, even if he's not individually dominating the paint.

Against the Pistons, though, it is obviously not a favorable matchup. The Pistons have found a system that allows them to circumnavigate the larger centers.
