Re: bonzi wells
Yes, I was really clamoring for the C's to try to make a push for him a while ago. He wouldn't fill the entire void that Posey left, but he'd be an improvement to our backup SF situation.

Re: bonzi wells
I hope we do. I doesn't look like Walker is going to get much PT this year other than gargabe time. Bonzi is a good scorer and rebounder and could help the bench. Our main concern should be getting a big, however. If we could find the spot for him, I would love to get Bonzi.
If we can trade TA and Powe for Joe Smith, we will have the room. The additions of Bonzi Wells and Joe Smith will be a huge help to the bench.

How good a shape is he in, how willing to play D is he, he could fill our backup 3 hole if he is in great shape but if not hes useless. I suspect its the latter, if its the former sign him up

Re: bonzi wells
Well, in China he looked like the best player in the country his first game, so he must be in at least decent shape. The problem that I have with Bonzi is that he doesn't seem to do well coming off the bench. He had a huge series against the Spurs a few years ago, balked at the Kings generous offer, and ended up signing for much less with the Rockets where his performance was pretty poor. Then he got traded to New Orleans and was similarly ineffective.
Bonzi Wells is a lot like Tony Allen, so playing those two side by side would not work out too well. Both are great at getting in passing lanes, and have shaky handles and questionable outside shots.

Re: bonzi wells
Bonzi's kind of washed up IMO. If we were to look for a sf I'd rather it be one who can shoot the ball. I've never been a big Bonzi fan though, so I'm probably a bit biased against the idea.

Re: bonzi wells
If Tony Allen has to go to OKC ( didnt he play in that state in college) in a 3 for 1 for Joe Smith, I would not be apposed for back filling the 2 open positions with Marbury and Wells.
Though we would lose in individual defense, the offensive output would jump to cover the defensive loss.
