Miami Incoming- Amare Stoudamire and Leandro Barbosa
Phoenix Incoming- Shawn Marion, James Jones, Daequan Cook, and future #1
Cleveland Incoming- Shaquile O'Neal
Phoenix Incoming- Wally Szczerbiak, Eric Snow, JJ Hickson, and future #1
Portland Incoming - Steve Nash and Grant Hill
Phoenix Incoming- Raef La Frentz, Jerryd Bayless, Joel Freeland, and Petteri Koponen
Boston Incoming- Matt Barnes
Phoenix Incoming- Patrick O'Bryant and a future #1
Offseason
Minnesota Incoming- Jason Richardson
Phoenix Incoming- Mike Miller and Corey Brewer
Why for Miami, getting a dominant power forward/center for this team would be huge. Also adding another scorer with Wade in Barbosa just makes the offense that much better. Yes Amare is a free agent but if Wade sees the Heat trying to improve then the chances increases that he will stay. He now has an inside force to throw to.
Why for Portland, an immediate upgrade at the most important position on the court: point guard. Nash, with his MVPs, can only breed confidence in that locker room. He can turn an already uptempto team to a all new level. Grant Hill is a proven veteran that can also stabilize the bench.
Why for Minnesota, Al Jefferson and Kevin Love need another quality starter on the court. Richardson's strong work ethic should work wonders on this young team. Another vital piece is added to a young team.
Why for Boston, they been missing Posey and his big shot abilities.
Why for Phoenix, why just start with Amare, why not rebuild and shed all the large contracts and rebuild now. First James Jones is a solid small forward with range out to the 3 point line and is young. Daequan Cook is a shooting guard in the All-Star game because of his ability to hit 3 point shots and is young. JJ Hickson is a power forward, in his first year that has shown ability to rebound and defend. Jerryd Bayless is a point guard, also in his first year, played at Arizona, is buried deep behind Blake and Rodriquez, but has should he quickness and scoring ability. Joel Freeland and Petteri, are two young players that could help the team in the future. Mike Miller provides the 3 point shooting and a steady influence. Corey Brewer is a younger Raja Bell, defensively anyway. He could be a stopper against Kobe, Baron Davis, Kevin Martin, and Monta Ellis with his long, lean build.
O;Bryant just adds size. Plus three future first round picks.
But most important, clearing cap space to go after prime free agents.
Marion, Szczerbiak, Snow, and LaFrentz contracts all end this year.
Amare then ?

"Any" deal with Heat that does not include Beasley just doesn't make any sense to me. And can someone please remind me, why was Marion traded in the first place ? If all we're doing here is to shed salary, Shaq has to be the first to go...not our future, Amare.
Portland Incoming - Steve Nash and Grant Hill
Phoenix Incoming- Raef La Frentz, Jerryd Bayless, Joel Freeland, and Petteri Koponen
So you basically trade our 2 times MVP for Bayless. My guess, to shed salary ?
Boston Incoming- Matt Barnes
Phoenix Incoming- Patrick O'Bryant and a future #1
If the guy that PHX sents is Grand Hil, it's more likely that Boston will consider it. And i will be more than happy to sent Hill to somewhere so that he can win a ring before he retires.

Funniest part of this thread:
Portland plays the slowest pace in the league ... they just happen to have one of the most efficient offenses.

Re: Amare then ?
No offense, but Nash is not in Portlands plans. If he was, it would be to tutor Bayless, not to replace him. But if Nash does not like the Suns pace now he would hate Portlands snail pace. But he has an opt out and would use it to bolt to NY and Hill is an expiring and most likely retireing. It would be lunacy for Portland to give all that youth away for nothing. Portland and Phoenix just are not good trade partners when talking about rotation players.
Portland would be interested in a three way with the Suns and Toronto with Aldridge to PHX, Amare to Toronto and Bosh to PDX with appropriate filler. Not sure if BC likes Amare or not. Thoughts?

Shaq to Cleveland is hilarious, might as well have him make his championship rounds with all 3 of the best players in the NBA.
