Tinsley, Foster, filler for Felton, Mohammed, and May.

Not sure if this should go in the Tinsley thread or not, but what do you guys think?

Well, I dont know. We dont really need Raymond Felton. We dont really want Nazr Mohammad. Sean May is fat and lazy (not unlike Tinsley), but he can score in the post if he is ever healthy. Getting value for Tinsley is a real plus, but losing Foster stings a little bit. All in all, I'd roll the dice on it.

Pacers obviously get the better end on that, but we already have 2 point guards...

This would give us four point guards. Maybe this deal could pave the way for another trade.

Basically its Tinsley for Mohammed - equally horrible contacts with
Felton for Foster - meh, idk id rather see us get a big for Foster instead of another pg

ESPN also has an article on it: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3897431

It says the third player would be Rush, Quisey, or Graham

Foster is a 32 year old, offensively challenged scrapper. I dont really know what you expect to get for him. I love the guy, but Felton is a more talented player. Plus, oh yeah, we get rid of Jamaal Tinsley.

If that third player is Rush, I am not okay with that trade.

Agreed. We gave up a lot to get him this past summer. He was "the guy" that Bird wanted.

anything less than rush ad we'd be expecting a child support check monthly.

I dont like this at all...Most people think "yes were finally gonna get away from Tinsley" but I think of it as "PLEASE NO. I'd rather see Tinsley sit on the sidelines then to give up the veteran leadership of Jeff"...People dont realize because hes not a 20/10 guy just how much he brings to our ball club. This guy is the best blue chip athelete ive ever seen in basketball and he is our only lineage to a past that was so great and that we all took for granted. If we give up MD as well I am going to be sooo upset
Once they have that golden shining moment and it comes to them in a dream or whatever and they understand that, that's when this team and this franchise will go to another level from where it was when I was here.

So now Jeff Foster is untouchable too? Where do we draw the line? As long as we don't include Rush in the deal, then we get a lot of value back while getting rid of Tinsley, Foster is in no way, shape, or form, a deal breaker in my mind.

To go with that, Felton would become our best PG. He has been in a uncomfortable situation in Charlotte, but ran the Pacers style offense at UNC. I think Felton would flourish in our system. To go with that Mohammed, while a bad contract, could be the post defender we have lacked. May still has potential, looks like he may never find it, but I can tell you hes been working his butt off to get back into game shape. He could be a good backup.

You're 100% correct. Mohammed may not have the offensive skills, but we have no problem scoring (most of the time). He would bring much needed defense in the post.

Adding Felton would open up a lot of possibilities as far as our rotation goes and even possibly for another trade.

In my opinion, this would be an upgrade at C and PG. Put the stamp on it Bird!

I agree. I've said it 100 times, but I'll say it one more: The only person on our roster that should be untouchable is Danny Granger. Foster is a great, great role player. That's it. He's 32 years old, and will be in decline when we are actually good again.
