Shawn Livingston-KL prospect??

Post#1 » by farkingidiot » Fri Feb 13, 2009 4:07 pm

I'm in a very competitive keeper league that's been going for almost 10 years now. We have to set our summer rosters on Tuesday for the guys we will carry over into next year. I have ONE open slot and there is REALLY slim pickings on the waiver wire. (Right now, my open slot is a toss up between Bobby Brown-Kings, Mike Taylor-Clippers and Marcus Williams-GS)

One guy I'm considering taking a flier on is Shawne Livingston, despite his injury history. :o

Thing is, I can't find hardly ANY news on him and how he looked in his few minutes he played this year. I know he's still recovering, but maybe next year he'll start looking better? Anyone have any insight on his status, injury-wise? Can anyone tell me how he looked on the court when he did play? What's your opinion on taking a flier on him?

How many teams are in your league, and do you have a list of all the free agents?

I'm guessing the league must have quite a few teams if the only guys you're considering to keep with your last spot are the ones you mentioned in your post.

Bobby Brown would be my pick as of right now though. There is no guarantee Livingston will ever play in the NBA again, Williams will be FA this season and I would imagine some team will sign him but despite the obvious talent there's a chance his NBA career could come to an early end as well if he doesn't get his act together.

I'd go with Bobby Brown as well.Udrih really doesnt look like a competent starter and IMO Brown demonstrated he can be a Bobby Jackson or Tony Delk type of player off the bench in the near future.

I've been leaning towards Brown, too. I actually drafted him, but let him go. Shawn intrigued me because I've been reading how a couple of GM may want to stash him and see how he plays next year. Upside vs. injury recovery. That's why I wondered if anyone has seen how he played this year.

I can't see why GS would keep Marcus and if he landed in the right situation, he was the most potential to do fantasy damage.

I views Brown as a Bobby Jackson type guy too.

As a Clippers fan I can tell you that Mike Taylor wouldn't be too bad of an option for next year. If you have any reservations about Livingston, I reccomend you pick up Taylor. I don't know too much about Bobby Brown.
