Foye isn't a starting point guard.

Nick Young would be nice, but not for what we're giving up. Plus, we'd still be stuck with McCants and be even worse off at pg with Crittenton and Ollie the only true point gaurds.

I kind of like this one. Maybe both picks are a little too much, because Collins is going to save the the wizrds $14 mil alone next year. I also like the fact that it gives them cheap role players, which they'll need around their expensive vets if they need to use youth to move that money.

Crittendon might be a nice big PG to put next to Foye, and devliz made an interesting point that Foye's improved January performance may have simply been a streak and not due to him playing SG (SG hasn't helped him in Feb). Etan Thomas would be useful, but expensive, addition, particularly with his trade kicker, but Young would be the prize.

I think the Wizards are in a bind. Abe Pollin has always been under the lux, though his recent spending may have suggested he was willing to go over this year for a contender. However, the wizards are far from a contender now. WAS is filled with near-unmovable 3-year deals and players of dubious worth. If they want to get back under the lux, they are either going to have to trade some of their youth, trade Haywood, or trade Caron Butler. All three would be difficult for the Wizards, and their fans, to accept.

I like Young a lot. Crittendon just doesn't seem to have it. I can live with Thomas, but I'd rather give up Cardinal to do it.

If this deal is mainly about getting Young, as it is to me, we should just wait until draft time and see how are first pick turns out. If Harden is clearly the BPA we would have no use for Young.

I'd do it if you shipped McCants instead of Telfair and kept one of the picks

This year
Crittenton/Telfair/Ollie
Foye/Young
Miller/Carney
Love/Smith/Cardinal
Thomas/Madsen/Booth

Next years rotation

Crittenton 22/Telfair 16/ pick 10
Young 28/Foye 20
Brewer 24/Miller 24
Love 28/Jefferson 20
Jefferson 16/Thomas 20/ pick12
I've been a fan since the beginning and I will be until my end.
