I've had it with RealGM's wild trade rumors

Post#1 » by enigmatics » Thu Feb 19, 2009 6:16 pm

.............looking on the front page today, again I find the Amare to Memphis trade and now a Shaq to Cleveland trade. These trades don't make any sense. None. Not from any standpoint. Not financially, not strategically, not even geographically!

Are f*cking monkeys running this website? Are the "informants" presenting those headlines pill poppers from a psych ward?

I realize sites have trade engines on them, but I didn't realize they were giving away 4 handles of Jack Daniels to go with them.

I honestly can't wait for this trade deadline to pass. This has been one of the most laughable and pathetic to date.

since espn sourced shaq to cavs, are they using the realgm trade checker or their proprietary one?

The trade rumors are pretty crazy so its hard to say what are legit and what are fake. But what I will say is this place does come along with the legit news.

It was reported here by he who shall remain nameless that Porter will be fired and Gentry will be in as coach the Friday before the All Star Weekend. So sometimes, real news does trickle in around here.

I agree the trade rumours have been ridiculous and more abundant than any other year I've ever experienced...but no need to diss this site man, they report this stuff because it is news worthy.

If anything blame ESPN for fanning all the speculation

They're using nothing but wild speculation on what would make greater headlines. Certainly calls have been fielded all over the league for nearly 75% of it's players as we head into tough economic times, as well as other teams trying to get over the hump or make it's star players happy.

I may be a bit hasty.........testy.........whatever you want to call it, but it's out of control.....especially ESPN.

let me say this, if it wasn't for rumors, then it wouldn't be "realgm" and you woudn't be posting. Just ignore the rumors, PHX is staying put. We got what we wanted and that was to get Terry Porter out, the rest are just rumors.

Every team goes through things like this eventually. KG when he in Minnesota. AI when he was in Philly. Even players who didn't get traded were shopped around like crazy. Deal with it.

Yahoo is reporting the Shaq to Cleveland trade as well. So just take it with a grain of salt I guess.

They're all running with the snazzy headline. That's what happens with irresponsible sports reporting.

Ok, this is a lame thread. Yes, it does get old, but this happens almost all the time. The reason why it seems so much is because everyone is speculating the suns will make a move. I honestly do not think they will. but I like to see what trades are made and if it shifts powers etc.

Maybe it's just my frustration level with the quality of conversation going on in the threads......... it deteriorates horribly around the trade talks and deadline.

I can agree with that, there are some awful trades on here, gets pretty frustrating when some of our fans seem to want to trade the whole team. That being said, it is there right to propose any trade they want to and discuss with fellow fans no matter how much the majority of us would disagree with it...

...and its our right to respectfully say its a horrible idea.

What would we do without trade rumors?
