O.T. AM 570 KLAC vs AM 710 ESPN

I was wondering if any of you have been listening to AM 710 ESPN.

As most of you know that will be the new station for the Lakers and they have a really good show at 1 p.m. (Pacific Time). It's Steve Mason and John Ireland. John Ireland is the guy who does the in-game reports for the Lakers games on TV.

The show is like 4 hours long and for 3 hours they talk about the Lakers. Good insider info from John and they talk about some interesting topics.

AM 570 has gotten really boring since the new merger with Fox Sports. Give me Vic the Brick (entertainment value) or give me nothing!

wow i guess i'm just getting the news about the move. so now all Lakers games won't be on AM 570 at all? just AM 710?

I do find AM 570 REALLY boring now. i hate it cuz i'll be hearing it and most of the coverage SUCKS

I like John Ireland tho, ill have to check out the 1pm show while i'm at work. a 4 hour show with Ireland with 75% on the Lakers... i like!

In the morning I actually prefer Cowherd over Dan Patrick (patrick's a little too old now)
Really liked Vic and hartman and allt hose guys, sucks it's cancelled.
Petros and Money is decent, though often offtopic.
Don't like Denhome and Long on 710.
Mason and Ireland are really funny playing off of each other.
Big fan of Lee Klein but no idea when he's ever on. He used to punk Denhome to no end and finally stopped working with him. Klein is smart as hell.

radio is dead to me basically. After Frosty Heidi & Frank, Tom Leykis, and Indie 103.1 were off the air all I would listen to was a laker game when I am on the road. The loose canons got annoying fast.

So does this mean no more speero? I love speero!

Yea that show is really good.

But the Lakers game will still be on AM 570 until the end of this season. After this season all games will be on AM 710

i prefer roger lodge and dave smith in the morning on am830

PMS is the only show i still listen to on am570. chris myers is just too boring for me with steve hartman.

Am570 sucks now with the merger with fox sports radio.

espn710 ive heard like once since am570 changed, i just dont really like steve mason. I used to hear him years ago and never really liked him. Maybe over time he'll grow on me.

Cowherd and Lodge are unlistenable. Even though I like Dave Smith I cannot stay with that morning show for more than 1 segment because Lodge is an egomaniacal tard.

I don't hear any mid-day but I remember when Mason and Ireland the TV show - it was awesome hilarious. All Lakers, hot girls, antics....

Dave Smith is the only good thing on LA sports radio right now. His PM drive time show rocks.

I listen to PMS, but not for sports... just the comedy.

It's time to give VTB his own show again - - All Lakers, All Homer, All the Time!

Dave Smith is funny as hell. He also has his own show in the afternoons from 4-7. Ive been listening to him since he was back on 1540.

Hey guys, can you give me the rundown on what actually happen to KLAC ??

I grew up in LA, graduated from UCLA before moving to the midwest for work... I was an avid KLAC listener... About 2 months ago I got really tied up into work and couldn't listen online due to my schedule.. I went to listen online last week and the loose cannons were gone... Joe McDonald was also gone...

Are these guys doing shows anywhere ?? The Cannons were great to listen to..

joe mcdonell was let go a few months ago when his contract expired and it wasn't renewed. last month klac merged with fox radio to cut costs.

klac weekdays used to be dan patrick, jim rome, loose cannons (hartman, thompson, vic), pms, tony bruno

fox sports was like something, something else, chris myers and sean farnham, andrew siciliano and some girl, and some other brick guy, not vic the brick.

merged we got a national schedule of: patrick, rome, myers and hartman with vic giving updates, pms, and that brick guy. jt the brick i think.
