Guys I just wanted to share something that happened recently that tore my heart in pieces.
This afternoon I watched one of my dearest friends/brothers get barried.
I have witnessed funreals before but this one was very rare and unique, this one was a 37 year old man that was one of the most unique people you can ever have the pleaure of meeting and knowing.
He was a brother that I met 12 years ago in an Armenian basketball league that I once played for and time and both of us going our seperate ways made us lose touch with one and other.

Apparently last Tuesday his stomach started hurting him, so he went to the emergancy room, and a few hours later the doctors approached him and told him he didnt have much time to live, he's kidney had failed him and he had caught a virus that basically shut down his kidney and his veins were larger than normal, so he's heart was pumping more blood than normal.

That evening he had a heart attack and they tried for hours to revive him but they failed.
On Thursday evening he passed away.
I have never felt such a great loss in my life and heart since this afternoon, not only cause he was so young but he left behind three beautiful children and a lovely wife with so much love and kindness.
He was also a principal at a High school in Lacresenta.

He was a giant man both in size and heart (He played center on my team) and his nickname was Chief.
He always went out of his way for anyone I mean anyone, he had so much love and passion for life and he never hurt or tried to hurt anyone.
He touched so many hearts and mine was one of them, and I can honestly say that he will be missed until the day I see him in heaven again.

I just wanted to share that with you guys since although I havent met most of you yet some of you guys know me on personal bases as well.
I just wanted to share this with you guys and let you guys know life is too short and we should all appreciate what we have and no cry and complain about what we dont have.

Watching my brother get barried was very difficult but what was even more difficult was the the fact that after the funeral, people got in their cars and left.
Yet me and about 9 of my firends stayed after everyone left, and gave our own love and goodbye to him, and what ripped my heart in half was sitting there and watching his wife and his father sitting there with no clue or idea as to what happened and why did it happen to such a great guy.

Anyways thanks for taking the time to read this and I pray that God Bless you all.

Your Bro
Jay

That's really the disappointing part of life. Unfortunately, sometimes life goes like that.

It makes you step back and realize that losing a basketball game or breaking up with a girlfriend (my case) is nothing. Enjoy the people around you and don't take anything for granted.

Hope everything goes well for you, Tony, also the family. I wouldn't want to imagine how much losing a friend would hurt. Keep your head up.

Also, go to your doctors often people. You never know, no matter what size you are.

My deepest and sincerest condolences, Tony. I have buried a few very close family members and friends over the past few years, and celebrating their life is better for everyone, as opposed to dwelling on the loss.

What came through in your post was that you have this outlook. You said we have to appreciate what we have and not focus on what we don't. Right on. Even for our loved ones that pass, we must be thankful for what they got in their lifetime. Your friend brought beautiful children into the world, enjoyed the relationship of a beautiful wife, and obviously had loyal and loving friends. Pretty lucky guy, the way I see it.

Focus on the ways he made you better, and you'll miss him with a smile on your face.

Very tough story to read man, i'm pretty sad myself now. it hurts bad to know ppl like that can randomly disappear while ppl who live by doing wrong are up and about but that's how life is.

i agree with other posters here that the best part of your story was ur outlook, itz very sad to know he's survived by his 3 kids and wife, then again one poster said it best, he sounds like a lucky guy, i mean how many ppl can HONESTLY say they have a loving kind wife, 3 beautiful kids, and loving & loyal friends? i know i cant say that. all i got is a great gf and loving/loyal friends lol

very lucky man, keep ur head up Tony, you've been blessed with an AMAZING friendship, one that has been built internationally, your a very lucky person, as is he.

My condolences to his family, i can't say i can make a big donation but i know i shell out some money cuz the reality is, in this economy it'll be hard for a mom to raise 3 kids alone, so we should all try to do our part, God gives us life each day we wake up, all we gotta do is spread some of that generosity with green paper, kind words, or just being there for someone... to me that sounds like a very very good bargain on our part. God bless his family and you, may God give you all the strength and peace of mind to continue with your life and remember him as happy as he sounds by your description.

My condolences, it's tough to lose someone you know but even tougher when that person is so close to you and at such a young age too. He's in a better place now, and is probably playing center there as well.

Share as much as you want in here brah, we got your back.
take carez

I mean after I left the funeral I felt like I left a brother behind and Im one of those guys that never leaves anyone behind no matter what, I walk with you and if you need me to carry you I will, if you need a glass of water and Im dying of turst I will share it with you, but that night I just felt like my body and mind was lost. IT FREAKING SUCKS.
Its just sad to see someone so young and with so much love and kindness not being there anymore and his love will defiantly be missed.
As to the link, I guess Forest Lawn keeps the link up until the funeral is over with but I will see and ad a link for his donation.
By the way here is a picture of him and his wife and his beautiful kids, this was just taken last Halloween.
Again THANKS FOR THE LOVE AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU GUYS.
