Wonderlic scores

not like they really matter. I just think they're fun to read about though.

That is a good score for Stafford. Pretty low score for Rey Rey. And the wide receivers certainly weren't above average.

Anyone ever take the wonderlic test? I mean in my eyes its pure stupidity. There is no question that states what do you do when DeMarcus Ware is coming head on with you.

I took the sample test. Got 16 correct answers for a score of 40.

The newsprint question confused me. I also missed a period instead of a comma on question 4.

It's really not that incredibly hard, makes me wonder how some of these college athletes scored so damn low. :-?

I missed the comma/period too. That's not anything but an eye test.

No. Why on earth should we be? The only scores that should remotely jump out at us are anything above 35 and anything below 15. Which is why I'm struck by Delmas' low score.

Also don't overlook that its 50 questions. It's an interview that can earn you millions of dollars. Its the difference between having a job for your family or possibly swallowing your pride and facing reality. I can't see GM's really placing to much weight on this but still, it can create a lot of pressure for the test taker.

However nothing about football really comes off from it. Just like the 40, why don't they make players run in pads?

Because he scored higher 8 higher than the average for his position? When you have receivers throwing up 17, 15 etc, I donno, 25 seems kind of impressive to me, position based of course.

If you were a GM, and you let the Wonderlic score be a 'tiebreaker' between two comparable picks, I bet in the long run you would do better than alright.

I got a 42.5 and I timed myself to the 5 minutes it says to.
The ironic part is one of the 3 I got wrong was the one you guys were talking about in the thread with the commas and periods.
I also got #18 and #19 wrong, the hemisphere winter one and the grouping of letters.

It's kind of scary to think guys get like 5 and 6 out of 50 right.

That was easy. I got a 45. Just missed the flammable: inflammable question and the one involving proportional profit (I forgot to subtract the expense from the net profit).

I just took it and without a pen and paper and in 3 minutes (I had to go check on laundry), I managed a 42.5. I screwed up the flammable question (I simply didn't know), the letter sequence one (didn't have time to figure it out) and the period vs. comma thing (I'm about 3.5 feet from my crappy screen, I'll chalk that up to eyesight).
Edit: I only got 40. I didn't even bother trying to answer the paper one due to time restrictions. I did it afterwards with the right result but it took me 2 minutes to do so, so I doubt I'd be able to do it if I were taking the test.

42.5 - I am very disappointed. My wife said I'm downgraded to a mid-rounder now and will have to really deliver

to get my standing back.

I got a 45. There's no way that's what the real wonderlic test is like. It's too easy, I just can't imagine anyone getting below a 40.
