farmar dealing with tendinitis in right foot

Jordan Farmar is not just dealing with his bruised ego. He also has a foot sore enough to get fully checked out today.

Farmar saw foot specialist Phil Kwong — and X-rays, an MRI and a CT scan all showed no significant damage. The Lakers believe the problem is tendinitis.

Farmar will be ceding more minutes to Shannon Brown in this Utah series. I also think the Lakers will re-sign Brown and continue the head-to-head competition behind Derek Fisher into next season.

It's okay. I don't think Phil will use Farmar much in the playoffs anyways

Yep. Less Jordan means better D and consistant flow on offense.

Like Phil said, "With bigger guards, muscular guards that are pushing the ball, there's a real need or potential for Shannon to help us in the playoffs"

ooh.. would this mean more minutes for shannon? hehe.

Well i actually prefer the more able bodies we have the better we will be... But if shannon can get more minutes.. Can't wait to see him fly to the rim lol

The only tendinitis he is going to have is in his arse since he's going to be riding the pine the whole playoffs while Brown runs our offense.
Im glad.

I wonder if Farmar has the same thing Allen Iverson had?

Honestly, I'm just loving the fact that Brown is getting so many minutes now. As long as he keeps playing this way on both sides of the ball, he's going to be the dark horse role player for the Lakers this postseason.

They will need Farmar. You guys are acting like some fairweather fans right now. Jumping to fast on the Shannon bandwagon and to fast to jump off the Farmar bandwagon. They will need Farmar in the playoffs and he is struggling right now but this guy is fully capable of being the 2nd best guard on the team. He hasn't reached that potential yet but players do have coming out parties out of nowhere. Look at JR Smith. I pegged him years ago but it took a little while.

C'mon. JR was a high schooler that changed teams and angered his coach, of course he took time. Farmar has been on one team, in one city all his life, with a steady coaching staff, and went to a major college. No way should he take as long as JR did. Farmar is regressing if anything. He will get more chances, for sure. Not sure they will be on this team though beyond this season.
