Game5: THE LAST STAND

Post#1 » by Racer X » Sun Apr 26, 2009 11:58 pm

Game 5: Jazz (1) @ Lakers (3) 8:30 PM MTN TNT

Image

This game truly does feel like the end of Glory . . .

Lets hope for a better end than the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.

BTW . . . Deron is Denzel . . . Sloan is definitely not Matthew Broderick . . . but Jarron Collins might be Morgan Freeman. I am not sure.

Fitting end for Hots to be back in LA.

Certainly the last time we will see this core that has basically been the same for about 4 years. Very interesting summer this will be.

Blowout. Winning is not a possibility. Don't even want to watch.

All I'm really hoping is that we put up a fight rather than meekly wilting in the first half, but I realize that even this meager hope may be in vain. Given the way we've played in L.A. the last few years, I certainly can't see us winning, so, barring a drastic turn of the tide, this game represents the end to an extremely disappointing season and, more than likely, something of a last hurrah for the team as presently constructed.

This should be the equivalent of 600 for the Jazz.

Let's lose with Pride. We completed a "sweep block!"

I wanna say we'll put up a fight, but I just don't see it. Watch Deron go for 40 and 10 and pretty much everyone else playing poorly. Lakers by 10.

Jazz lose big, at least we didn't get swept. It will be a very eventful off season.

Looks like your even your own home page has you guys losing the series 4-1....lol jk.Seriously though, trade the clown on the page as well as others. His offense is nice but his D is garbage and doesnt look like its going to improve. Deron, millsap, and korver are keepers though. just my 2 cents. see you fellas next yr. 8-)

Funny stuff.

Well, I think we have a chance, but just that. Everything is going to have to be perfect for the Jazz, and that is a pretty small chance. I would love to put Kobe in his smug little place again after the last game. If he didn't have the best team in the league behind him, he would still be a whimpering little puppy demanding trades. But, if there were no Kobe in LA, I would have no reason to hate them as much as I do. Here's to another year of David Stern laughing on his way to the bank with the Lakers and Boston/Cleveland in the finals... Bleh. This league is so soft and predictable now, it's a shame.

Oh yeah, Fisher sucks, is a cheat and a liar. Family first my ass. If it truly was family first, he would have taken his millions and quite traveling the country playing basketball. But go ahead naive Laker fans and keep bad mouthing Jazz fans for booing him. If Deron did that to you, don't tell me you wouldn't boo him too. Oh wait, Laker fans don't really cheer or boo at all do they? Unless it's for tacos, that's right! That says a lot about them doesn't it...

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Oh, man.. Wake up! Guess why the Lakers played three games in a row at home (in the playoffs? really?)? And why there are 5 days between game one and two? It wasn't that long ago that the regular season ended.. and it ended with the Jazz at Lakers :) It would have no upcoming games being so..

Sounds like you are a hater to me. Don't use David Stern as an excuse for the lakers, boston and cleveland trying to get to the championship. I didn't hear that excuse when malone and stockton was going to the championship against the bulls. As far as fisher is concerned he had to do what was best for his family. If Deron would have left the lakers for that reason, we would not have booed him,We have class. As far as tacos is concerned ya probably can't afford to have them at your arena.
