Another lack of recognition; NBA.com

Post#1 » by Miller4ever » Tue Apr 28, 2009 7:04 pm

So apparently, NBA.com doesn't consider Danny Granger an MIP candidate.

Granted, this is just a placeholder for when the real award is given, but this is sad. Danny Granger, if not the most improved player, should be at least top three in the discussion. Charlie Villanueva? Really?

It really doesn't surprise nor concern me in the least.

Unfortunately we're all growing accustomed to Indiana getting overlooked in a majority of areas, this just fits in with the current trend.

He should be already be recognized as a lethal scorer and quality perimeter defender, but if the media continues to leave him out of such conversations so be it. It will simply make him hungrier to prove them wrong.

Same reason we could go 0-82 every season and never pick higher than #4.

Don't stress about the draft. I'm using my powers to make sure we win the lottery.

When is this announced? I looked around for 20 minutes and couldn't find it. They have announced everything else, besides MVP.

Monta Ellis' selection was announced April 26th or 27th, Turkoglu was 27th. The only reason I can see them delaying is because there's a tie, but they only want to give it to one winner, or representatives from both camps are being obnoxious.

Oh there will be a tie alright. It will be a joint award for everyone nominated, barring Granger of course.

Pfft...

RealGM > NBA.com

RealGM staffers voted Granger as the MIP.
