Paying the price for a big win

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Tue Apr 28, 2009 9:18 pm

Welcome to the playoffs!

Mike Bibby got cracked in the nose and poked in the eye.

Josh Smith got the skin on the side of his face scratched off in three places.

Joe Johnson finished the game hobbling and was later spotted with his right foot in a bucket of ice before he was sent off to get examined to determine the extent of the damage.

Everyone saw Zaza Pachulia’s right eye, darkened around the edges by an unidentified flying object (or an errant elbow) that he doesn’t remember connecting.

Even Hawks equipment man extraordinaire Zac Walsh went down during the game (food poisoning) and was reportedly left behind at a local hospital to recover.

Welcome to the playoffs, guys. The Heat are banged up, too.

I heard Rathbun on the radio talking about how Joe has a "sore ankle." As far as I'm concerned,
If our guys are on the floor they need to produce, ESPECIALLY our best player.

Pfffft our team is full of pussies.

Did you know Wade was playing with a sore back, broken ankle, torn rotator cuff and sports hernia in Game 4 alone, along with the recent memory of his dead dog?

That guy is a true warrior.

Since when did back spasms turn into a sore back, broken ankle, torn rotator cuff and sports hernia in Game 4 alone, along with the recent memory of his dead dog? I guess after a playoff loss at home, huh?

I know how it feels to play when your back is tight and won't loosen...And Wade did look off, but I mean c'mon now, 3-4 injuries?
