A flagrant foul-penalty (2) is unnecessary and excessive contact committed by a player against an opponent. It is an unsportsmanlike act and the offender is ejected immediately.

The offender will be subject to a fine not exceeding $35,000 and/or suspension by the Commissioner.

This is how it's written in the NBA rule book............let's see if it sticks. Gotta feeling they'll down grade it as to not face the conspiracy theory guys.

lakers pull off another similar game.

defensive rotations are crisp, yao ming is sufficiently bodied up in front and houston find it too hard to score 100 points in order to beat the lakers

sasha's due for a big game

MY KEYS TO THE GAME:

1. stick wit the farmar/brown rotation, and keep fisher at 20mpg
2. take it to yao early. hes hurting, so its a good time to break him down.
3. contain luis scola and carl landry. these 2 players can hurt us, and lamar is doing an OK job at best.
4. let lamar+gasol dictate the game. feed lamar, and use the big man give-n-go. lamar and pau are as good as anyone in the league when it comes to 2 man game.
5. defend the 3. the rockets arent great shooters, but they're good enough to kill us by it, especially ron artest.
6. help side defense/box out- lamar is at his best when he does this, which ends up in a fast break opportunity for farmar/brwon/fisher.
7. most importantly, front yao ming. hes a beast...for those of you who havent seen him play at staples, i have, and the dude is B.I.G. gasol/bynum have been doing an OK job, but having 2 defenders sag on him wouldnt hurt. he's simply too much for a 1on1 matchup.

Uh, no. It'll be downgraded because it wasn't a flagrant 2, not because they want to avoid the conspiracy theorists.

But anyway, good luck in game 4! You guys kicked our ass in game 3. Hopefully we'll have Yao ready to go on Sunday.

Peace out. 8-)

Excited for the game. Now, Sasha is the one that should be in PJ's doghouse. Brown should play SG in the 2nd unit and J-Far in PG position. Farmar had regained who he is and I'm looking forward to his next games.

we'll have to see how healthy yao is, i don't think it was a flagrant 2 on artest

i think the Daily Dime on BSPN said fisher was going to start, but hopefully we'll see alot of farmar again

keep up the intensity like in game 3, and keep rolling

GO LAKERS

nice game thread. i hope it is downgraded also. alot of those rockets fans are already crying about kobe hitting artest in the jersey, they will really explode if artest is suspended a game. i think we take game 4 in more of a blowout. they look hurt mentally after last game. kobe hitting fall away three's at the end of quarters. kobe blocking yao. farmar doing his thing.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

They will find something to cry and complain about. If not the flagrant foul, it will be something else.

Sasha is playing good D on Von Wafer.. so yes he will still be in PJ's rotation..
I wish Farmar would start.. he gave the Houston defense fits with his penetration, defensive hustle and pick and roll play..

Magic fan here hey I know that neither series is decided yet but lets say you guys go against Denver in the next round I hope you destroy them. From what ive seen they are just cocky little pricks that celebrate over any shot they make. Kinda like a team full of Eddie Houses got I hate that guy. anyway good luck.
