Tuesday night's series opener between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox was a record setter.
According to preliminary overnight data from BBM Nielsen Media Research, 254,000 viewers tuned in to the first game of the highly-anticipated three-game series exclusively on TSN2. That is the highest program audience ever recorded for a digital channel in Canada.
The Blue Jays-Red Sox series continues tonight and tomorrow on TSN2 with the first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
TSN2 is now readily available on every major cable carrier in the country including the recently added Rogers Cable.
Like i said in the TSN2 thread, Rogers opened their wallets as soon as it would begin to benefit them solely. It's no coincidence that this record of viewership was set. Road series @ Fenway ... top 2 teams in the AL East, muchos Toronto interest.
Whats really astonishing is that there was playoff hockey on at the same time on TSN standard feed.
