Last year the Lynx drafted 3 rookies and kept them. All three rookies made a tremendous contribution to the team. Candice Wiggins got sixth woman of the year and averaged 15 points and 3 assist off the bench.
Charde Houston proved to be a great scorer off the bench and averaged nearly 9 points and 4 rebounds per game. She also was ranked 9th in FG percentage. Nicky Anosike as a big averaged 9 points and nearly 7 rebounds. She led the WNBA in steals/turnover ratio and the only player to be in the top 10 in rebounds, blocks, and steals.
Who would the wolves have to draft and keep in order to pull something like this? Do you think there is any chance the wolves could draft together a crew that is close ot the productivity level the Lynx got out of theirs last year? A draft like this could pretty much change the direction of a team.

This draft class is pretty weak, it's going to be hard to find that diamond in the rough especially since a few have already declared they will opt for the BPA
so pretty much no

Re: Could the wolves pull a Minnesota Lynx?
I thought you meant that the wolves, like the lynx, would put a really really not entertaining product on the floor. I hope they avoid that. The WNBA is painful and should be folded.
But as to the other point. It might be better in this draft to not go just for guys who contribute right now. Personally I think BJ Mullens could be a pretty good center in a couple of seasons, but he's not contributing a ton this year if we draft him.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Re: Could the wolves pull a Minnesota Lynx?
I think the difference between men's college and the NBA is a lot greater than women's college and the WNBA. Shelden's chica in LA proved that by going from college junior to best player in the WNBA. You won't see that happen in the NBA.

AJ "highest body fat % in the draft and also shoots a Telfair-esque FG% in college" Price? The other 4 are fine, but I don't want Price.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

I like the talent, especially in the first round, but I'd rather go with a couple international guys in the 2nd round to stash for a season or two.

Re: Could the wolves pull a Minnesota Lynx?
If we pull a Lynx, we'll be sitting pretty good. That was a nasty game today. Note: Seimone kinda reminds me of the WNBA's Carmelo Anthony. And we acquired that vet hometown point guard this offseason. Just saying...

#6-Harden or Evan
#18-Hansbrough - hes probley more nba ready aand i reckon he will avg 9-7 pretty easily rookie year
#28-Mills - def nba ready no pg in the nba will be able to stop him on offense
i guess a lot would depend though on mchale ,does he want to give these guys the mins over the vets like Miller

no doubt about that he'll be better than what a lot of people are saying but IMO it's a reach taking him at #18. his ceiling is so low IMO.

I actually would be happy if we got Harden and Mills; but even if Hansbrough is NBA ready, where will he play with Love, Jefferson, and Smith. I would rather take a player like BJ Mullens, Earl Clark, Terrence Williams, Austin Daye, or Omri Casspi who we would have need for.

i was just saying who i think could make a impact straight away with the wolves ,this isnt who i would pick cause i would rather pick on potential
and to answer your question Hansbrough will play at pf love at centre remember jefferson is out half the season
mullins would be a great pick at 18 but he will take 2-3 years before he will make a impact in the nba
Hanbrough is probley more nba ready but hes potential isnt as big
