There's a fascinating link on ESPN about draft history for all teams over the past 20 years.
Here's the link to the article: http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft200 ... id=4221335
The link has the Jazz as the 10th best team over the last 20 years, with a letter grade of a C+.
Here's a link to the Jazz draft picks over that time span: http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft200 ... id=4222450
It's fascinating how rocky the drafts from 2000 to 2004 were. We should have traded every draft pick those years for anything of value.
Without Milsap and Kirilenko, it's scary how much further down the list the Jazz would be. It raises the time-old question - how much better does our front office do in evaluating talent than others do ( look at the ratings for the Spurs and Lakers) and how much of the draft lottery is a crapshoot?
It's not a surprise that the two teams who have represented the Western Conference in the Finals in the last 10 years (excepting the one year by Dallas) have been the two teams that out draft the rest of the conference by a wide margin.

Haha serious, I'm not an ESPN insider. If you could copy/paste the articles onto RealGM that would be cool.
