Opt In, Opt In and Opt In

Post#1 » by bsutefan » Mon Jun 15, 2009 3:18 pm

Opt out or opt in? That is the question. While there are many answers to this question, the best answer to this question for the Utah Jazz is opt in. Opt in, opt in, and opt in. Carlos Boozer, Mehmet Okur, and Kyle Korver all should opt in for the remaining year of their contracts with the Jazz.

It brings up a valid point, but when was the last time a team dumped a "super-star" for an expiring or cap space? There are guys like Jason Richardson who are excellent role players and every once in a while win a game by themselves--or guys like Marcus Camby who give your team one more dimension if you already have your core, but Memo+Korver is not landing us a guy like A'mare as much as we would like it to.
