So where were you when Pau got traded to LA and

So where were you when Pau got traded to LA and how did you feel about the trade?
Did you think the success would come early or did you think that he would bring good chemistry to the team???
Just share your thoughts what you expected from him good and bad.

Me I was on here posting lolllllllllllll but I felt good about the trade, I thought he would definatly work out well for us. I was concerned about his size and the fact that he was a European player that wasnt really the big man of the league or the Lakers you can expect these days, but Im glad he worked out for us.

What about you?

bragged and shat on my rox-fan friend

At home. I was watching ESPN. Amazing...I thought...LAKERS DYNASTY. Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown??? Huge.

Saw it on realgm the night before when someone from the Griz board posted a link to some source who leaked it...

Kept my eye on it the whole day, I remember refreshing this forums page and saw a thread titled "OMG WE GOT PAU" or something along the lines and next thing you know my phone was blowing up...

I was sitting at my desk at work. Logged on to ESPN.com, saw the headline and blurted out, very loud and matter-of-factly, "HOLY ISHT." A couple my colleagues asked me what was wrong, I told them. Then I asked them what was wrong, as their faces (they were Spurs fans) had gone white.

In class, got a text from a friend "We got Pau!" thought for sure it was for Lamar. Needless to say I had a smile like Magic on my face all day after hearing it was for Kwame Brown.

i found out when i logged on to realgm about an hour after it was announced. i remember seeing the thread and before clicking preparing myself for the end of the LO in purple n gold era or having to watch bynum tear up the league for the next decade. then i found out it was for kwame, lol.

I was in my apartment in college with my roommates when I saw the trade headline pop up on yahoo news. Normally, I look at thelakersnation.com or hoopsworld for laker news, but ever since the Bynum knee injury I refused to look at any Laker news because I was so depressed. When I saw the headlines "Lakers trade for All-Star" and saw Pau Gasol's face, I immediately thought we traded Kwame Brown and Andrew Bynum for Gasol. When I found out it was just Kwame Brown. My face was like

Laying on the couch trying to take a nap; it was a weird, boring day. I know this sounds stupid, but I dont know, something in me said check for lakers news. My internets not working that day, so I turned on the tv, put it on nba tv and there was a super slow news flash below the screen "pau gasol traded to the los angeles ...." at first I thought he was traded to the clippers, but when "lakers" appear on the screen. I stared at the tv for like 2-3 min.

I have no idea how to react. I jumped off the couch and screamed "OMFG x8, HOLY SHHHT x9 YEAHHHHhhh." I was shocked not only beacause of the trade, but also shocked because of the players we traded away. (but I felt kinda sad though, when I saw that jcitt is part of the trade) My mom and bro (both laker haters. my bro was a phx suns fan at the time, and now a celts/magic fan) was like " what happened, what happened??? " I couldn't speak, I just said "lakers...finals.. were going to the finals"

I was laughing really hard too, because I knew that my bro is gonna change team again, when he finds out about the trade
and then I called my grandpa (a bandwagon fan) I said "we got gasol" my grandpa was like "ohhh, is he good?" :lol:

Saw pau a lakers on realgm wire tap, I was wowed. Checked to see who we had to give up and I came like 20 times.

Watched the game @Detroit the night before, the one where the Lakers got beat by a last second 3. Shut off the TV, ignored the recaps as I always do after a loss, went to bed pissed off as I always do after a loss. Woke up the next morning, check RGM, jaw drops, read the details, yell out "HOLY ****!", scare my family

First thing that popped into my head was him shooting 3 pointers, and he's a big man.

Next thing that popped into my head was his really weird form in shooting...

The biggest thing I remeber was Pau Gasol's debut in a Laker uniform. Man that game was sick.

I came home from school and logged onto RealGM and saw the front page. I still have a screenshot from that faithful day.

The original file name was ohemgee.bmp which basically captured my reaction.

I think I remember crying myself to sleep the night before because of that heartbreaking loss in Detroit.

I was miffed and stayed away from the media/message boards after the loss to Detroit. Letting Prince hit that 3 and then Lamar airballing a potential game winner sucked. The feeling of frustration was compounded because Bynum wasn't there and Kwame was doing nothing with his minutes. I found out on TV the next day and I went from sad to pure elation in an instant! I forgot my Real GM account here and still can't remember the name since I usually logged into it in like a 2-3 month basis. Oh wells, I was a lurker back then and still am mostly by nature.
