Interview with Anderson Varejão!
Luís (Brazil Bulls) question: After being eliminated by the Magic, you feel that adjustments should be made for the Cavs next season, having failed to reach the final? The path is the same and insist to see the next year if the team wins the title? Or a key point that has failed and that the team needs to improve the production process work?
Anderson Varejão: I think Cleveland needs no adjustments, the team was very united, and I do not see any adjustment needed .. I think if the team he will continue that way away, but we did not have anyone to''relax''to LeBron because he is the 'key' of our time.

Eric Caló question: What do you feel needs improving in your game?
Anderson Varejão: In my game I. I think the attack I am not very good and continue training to improve my arremeso the average distance, but by what I saw on the website of the NBA, I was regarded as the 6th best player of the defense ..

Diego Gujev question: How will you prepare for this "off season"? Go to the Copa America?
Anderson Varejão: I will try to maintain the physical form that only the processors of Cleveland, now that I was there in a court house, I get the heavy pitches of 3 points, and my jump free bids.

I would like to know if these rumors are true exchange? You're going to the Mavericks?
Anderson Varejão: I had two conversations with Mark Cuban that month, he offered me a proposal for a contract of 3 years receiving 11 million dollars (U.S. $ 19 million U.S. dollars), but I said I want pemanacer in Cleveland, but if they not want to renew my contract, I can analyze the proposal of Dallas.

Samuel Gonzaga question: Who would you like to see work by your side?
Anderson Varejão: I preferably would like to play with Kevin Garnet. He is a monster in court, and man has to be the leader of the team (Boston Celtics).

Lucas Menezes question: If one day you return to Brazil, where they play?
Anderson Varejão: I would like to play in Flemish, I have many friends with some leaders in there, more to my career I think is a bit far.

Leonardo Avila question: Do you think LeBron James will be in Cleveland?
Anderson Varejão: I think so, I spoke with him, and told me that I would like much, but it depends on the board of the Cavaliers.

Joe: You will have a day playing alongside Leandrinho in the NBA?
Anderson Varejão: Will I have but I find it difficult environment, we have Delonte West and Mo Williams to play in his position, so I do not think that will happen soon ..

Gabriel Peres question: With rumors of Shaquille O'Neal to go to Cleveland, if you continue, qualify as playing next to two "monsters" in the history of the NBA?
Anderson Varejão: This will not happen, I saw many rumors about him coming, and spoke with the president, but he denied and said that he is late for Antawn Jamison.

Roberto Matheus question: What do you think of Kobe Bryant? And as you examine the title to the Los Angeles Lakers?
Anderson Varejão: I honestly think the Kobe too 'arrogant', when I talk to him, I always believe the answer .. So I do not like him much, since the Lakers (and time) I think it was deserved the title, they have a great supporting cast with Pau Gasol, Odom and Derek Fisher Lama are great players.

Luís (Brazil Bulls) question: What are you down to Brazil in the Copa America? And as you face the fact of selection is the same key to Argentina?
Anderson Varejão: I think Brazil is off to classify. We have a great set of high-level players. Already, Argentina will be a confrontation and so, we will focus on to play against them because the rest of the group is theoretically weak.

Luís (Brazil Bulls) question: How do you see the picture of the basketball world? Selections that you think you are a higher level. And at that level in Brazil is the time to complete?
Anderson Varejão: The basketball world today is simply amazing, I was impressed with the games of the Olympics in China. The United States, Germany, Spain and Argentina being shown at the top of the basketball. Brazil has the complete selection, is at the level of these selections, we have Tiago Splitter, Nene, Leandrinho, Marcelinho Machado, Marcelinho Huertas and Alex, we will be unbeatable!

Anderson, thank you for the attention again, Abraços!
That nothing is always a pleasure for me to answer intriguing questions, sorry for not giving good answers that I'm coming to get a plane soon, Abraços ..

That was a little hard to read. But it turns out that Varejao wants to stay with the Cavs. If not, he'll be in Dallas. It is a bit ironic how he said he would want to play with Garnett.. I thought he hated him. Oh, and according to Andy, we won't be making a move for Shaq or Jamison.

Well, sounds to me like 3 years, 11 mill per. Based on the translation, it sounds like he would have no problem going to Dallas if the Cavs don't offer the same. It does seem that he prefers Cleveland, but thinks very highly of his skills and would go to the highest bidder. What he said about LeBron is pretty much what we all figure: If the Cavs are Championship quality, he'll stay.

...Did he call Derek Fisher a lama? Translations are hilarious!

Thanks for the post, great insight!

I thought the funniest part was when he said he didn't like Kobe because he was too arrogant.

BTW, Dallas can't afford $11million/season and that is an absurd amount of money for Andy.

I don't think so. It said 19 mil US dollars. I think that's 3 years with 19 mil total. That's really cheap IMO.

The way I see it, If Cuban said 3yrs, 11 mill, that's what it is, US $$. I think the translation interpreted 11 mill as Brazil, and equated that as 19 mill US $$. But there was no need to interpret that, because Andy was talking US $$. Besides, do you really think he'd sign for 3yrs 19mill total? At about 6 million a year?

That was hilarious. If it's even really him.

But if Varejao agreed to sign for $19MM/3 years Ferry would agree to that no problem. Fegan will never let him sign for that. At minimum he will extort $7-8MM per out of Ferry or threaten to walk.
