Evans

Post#1 » by Jersey Generals » Mon Jun 22, 2009 5:17 am

I had a question: do the Thunder have any interest in Tyreke Evans? I heard he had a good workout with the Wolves and showed some real good point guard skills. Would he not be a good compliment to Westbrook, someone who can handle the ball and guard the bigger 2 guards, while Westbrook plays the 2 on offense but guards the point on defense? I'm curious for your opinions. Perhaps the Thunder can trade down to five for him, while also picking up another assest in the deal or something to that effect?

He would be a good fit for us at SG, because like you said he compliments Westbrook well. But I think that James Harden is also a good fit next to Westbrook and is a better prospect. But if he's the guy we're really interested in I wouldn't mind trading down to five if the deal was good enough.

Evans for PG is alright for the Thunder. He still needs to work on improving his perimeter game as it can be streaky at times. SGs' have to be able to show some efficiency in knockin the mid range and 3ball down to help keep the offense spread out and the defenses friendly.
