I think this is easily Hansbrough. The other guys are top 20 locks, while Hansbrough probably falls below 20.

It's between Hansbrough and Jennings IMO. If Blair is taken early then I think Hansbrough goes to Chicago at #16. Otherwise he falls to Utah at #20 (although ATL at #19 might give him a look just goet some fundamentals on their squad).

Jennings could go anywhere. But if he's still on the board at #13 and Indy passes, he could wait a while after that. Maybe Minny goes for him at #18 if they don't go PG in the lottery. Atlanta could take a look as he'd be a solid value at that point. Same with NOH at #21 (although they could very well sell their pick). The Kings at #23 would be in the same situation as the Wolves - it all depends on what they do in the lottery.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Jennings. Hansbrough is more likely to last past the lottery but I don't think he would fall as far as Jennings potentially could. Jennings could be another Marcus Williams.

Hansbrough seems a bit too obvious. The NBA supposedly does a fair amount of research so they don't blow the invites, and I can't imagine they would have given one to him without at least a bit of insider info that says he's likely to go higher than expected. So I won't tab him.

With that logic ruling out the easy choice, I think I'll go with Jennings. He's a tricky one, because he probably has the widest range of any of these guys. I mean, it wouldn't be completely shocking to see him go ahead of all of them. But on the other end of the spectrum, he could also easily get picked last. SInce there's nothing on the line, I'll take the risk on him.

I picked Hansbrough because I think he will be a late first round pick. However I think Jennings has a chance of slipping to the second round.

i think some of you guys are thinking way too much. stern's not playing any mind games with anyone. hansborough is a recognizable figure to the casual fan, thoroughly vetted, well spoken, and thoroughly decorated with accolades. it'd be an insult not to invite a naismith award winner to the green room of the draft. however, this isn't going to change the fact that he's on the outside looking in in terms of the lotto.

Is the insult of not being invited really worse than the embarrassment of having to sit in the room by yourself for 10+ picks?

no chance he gets picked 10+ past holiday, and definitely not henderson. he'll probably only be lonely for 2-3 picks.

the point is, he's green room material because ESPN has hours of montage footage of him to play as filler, and he'll be a good interview. also, the casual fan will actually be able to pick him out of a lineup as opposed to derozen/evans/jonny flynn. if hansborough is really self conscious about it, he could easily decline. it's better for the NBA to ask and get "rejected" than not extend an invite at all.

Hansborough. I know the Carolina fans hate this poll.

Going with the masses and picking Psycho T...

He can turn out the lights.

I think he'll be playing in Russia in a couple of years after bouncing around the league
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Need to change my pick now that the actual list had been released. I'll go with Austin Daye.

Here's the full list of Green Room invitees:

Stephen Curry (Davidson), Austin Daye (Gonzaga), DeMar DeRozan (USC), Tyreke Evans (Memphis), Jonny Flynn (Syracuse), Blake Griffin (Oklahoma), Tyler Hansbrough (North Carolina), James Harden (Arizona State), Gerald Henderson (Duke), Jordan Hill (Arizona), Jrue Holiday (UCLA), Brandon Jennings (Lottomatica Virtus Roma, Italy), Ricky Rubio (DKV Joventut Badalona, Spain), Hasheem Thabeet (UConn), and Terrence Williams (Louisville) will attend.

The last one ought to be DeMar DeRozan, who does nothing but run and jump.

But I bet it will be Gerald Henderson or Hansbrough.
