POLL: What does Washington ACTUALLY do at pick #5?

Post#1 » by Smills91 » Tue Jun 23, 2009 2:46 pm

Not what you WANT Washington to do, but rather a prediction of what you think they WILL ACTUALLY do come draft night. I know the variables of who's actually there AFFECTS what Washington does, so there is added uncertainty. But, bust out your crystal balls and predict exactly what happens at pick #5 this year. I put possible guys that could be taken before 5, but I want you to use your supernatural powers to accurately project who will be at 5 and chosen by the Wiz....so ignore a prospect if you think they're gone before 5.

Wizards draft:
Harden
Evans
Hill
Curry
Other(specify)
Wiz trade the pick away(Specify to who and for what)

Don't we already have a thread for this?

This is a poll. I didn't see one posted. And for those that posted trade the pick, I wanted you to post in the thread where to and for what. Thanks.

I ACTUALLY voted for Curry. When push comes to shove, I still think the top 4 picks will be Griffin, Rubio, Thabs, and Harden. And then I think they go with the most NBA ready of the guards - which is probably Curry - though I wouldn't pick him that high.

I actually voted to trade the pick...

If we keep the pick, I will be disappointed (especially with all the big names floating around on the rumor mill)
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Official guess: we trade the 5th, James, Etan, OPec, Crittenton, Blatche, and a future pick for Amare and Dragic. Specific, no?

I 75/25 sure that we will trade the pick. I'm 50/50 on whether we do it in a big splash deal for Amare, or we do it as a middling deal for a mid-tier SG. Since I'm not leaning in any specific direction there, I'll predict the thing that would be the best for us, which is dealing for Amare without giving up a big three member.

I expect a trade of the #5 for the #8 + Hughes + future 1st rnd draft pick.
