GSW & CAVS

Post#1 » by 1bhcavsfan » Tue Jun 23, 2009 11:00 pm

This was approved via trade checker. GSW board also approved

Sasha
Delonte
T. Kinsley
For

Jamal Crawford

Nellie wants him to opt out and I'm sure he wouldn't mind the additional cap space. We would still have Bens contract to send to the Clippers
Cavs
Ben- out

Clippers
Kaman
Skinner
Rickey Davis (last yr will never see a Cavs uniform cut him} trade checker approved this deal

along with still offering CV a contract even though the bucks have freed up more space. But their #1 concern is retaining Sessions so CV is still in play

Are you drunk? I'd rather have West over Crawford.

The question should be are you intoxicated!! Although I like D. West heart can only take you so far. Example

11.7 pts
3.2 rebs
3.5 assists
1.5 stls

Jamal

20 pts
1.5 rebs
4.4 assists
1.0 stl

So what part of that don't you understand!! Crack kills but so does alcohol. Oh yeah not to long ago D. West couldn't even start over the Great Luke Ridnour. Classic wait my mistake Crawford play 2 more minutes then West hmmmmmmmm

I don't want Crawford for free. I definitely wouldn't give up Delonte to get him. The only good thing about this deal IMO is that we won't have to be Crawfords punching bag 2-4 times per year.

Sure Crawford scored more points, I can almost guaranteed that he took a ton more shots. But Those shots would not be available on the Cavs and the next time he plays defense will be his first as a pro.

So who do you want? I don't want to mimic the left wingers & the right wingers in congress and shoot everything down without a viable alternative,

The problem is that I don't see that as a viable alternative. Delonte was not the problem and Crawford most definitely would not be a solution to any question that might have been posed.

Oh, in order to get that additional 8 points/game. Crawford took 5.5 additional shots/game.

I do think that the Cavs need another swing man to play as either a starter for or back up to Delonte. No Sasha/Wally does create a hole for the Cavs. But I think there are some free agents available that I'd rather pursue than Crawford.

Not saying D.west was the problem my first line hints at that "I like D-West heart" however additional scoring was an issue and its been that way since LBJ has dawned a Cavs uniform including the series against Orlando. Now I didn't say this is the do all deal I just suggested a trade my question again what and who would improve this squad. Your right Crawford took more shots however this was D.west best yr shooting 45.7 vs. Crawford's 41.0

crawford took 1022 shots last season, making 419 - 40.9%
west took 624 shots last season, making 285 - 45.7%

i think id rather have delonte

You guys are funny!!! I just pose a trade and most everyone gets disjointed its okayyyyy. I still haven't heard any other solution don't get me wrong If D-West is still apart of the team next yr I would be glad but I'm just curious about other thoughts .Please don't say Gortat lets get out of the habit off wanting players solely on their performance against us.

It's not as thought this is some unified front, We have however had Crawfords name mentioned many times in the past. I just don't like his game and think he'd be a terrible fit for us. The point behind this site is to discuss these options. If you feel that he's a good fit, then explain why and I'm sure that someone will try to counter it.

I would do the swap for Kaman, would mean we have the 1, 3, and 5 positions set for the next 4-5+ years. Would be nice to get a better return on Wallace's expiring but we may not be able to.

I would not even bother with the GS trade to be honest with you. Crawford does nothing for us.

Crawford is strictly a 1 on 1 player... He's almost like a taller, less talented Iverson-like player... He plays nothing that shows any resemblance to team basketball... In fact, if I'm not mistaken, he's the longest tenured NBA player that has never played in a playoff game...

I think I'd take Ellis, Jackson & Maggette all over Crawford. Granted, Crawford is the guy GS wants to ship out.

It was reported that Don Nelson actually begged Jamal Crawford to opt out of his contract this week because he didn't want Crawful on his team. Considering the type of ball that Nellie teams play, Crawford must be one hell of a chucker. Not to mention going back to his days with the Bulls and Knicks, Crawford has never played a lick of defense or team ball.

The Warriors had better throw in a huge sweetener such as the 7th pick in order for the Cavs to even consider taking Crawford and that would be for expirings. There's no way Delonte would be included in such a deal.

That's right, he announced that they expected him to opt out and if he didn't they wouldn't play him. LOL

I just think when a player has played in the league for X amount of years and has had a financial wind fall like Crawford has. It becomes more than just money {unless your name is aka Mr.. Glass Hughes}. These guys are professionals they would not have gotten this far unless they enjoyed competing. So my premise is that Crawford would harness his game due to the fact that this team is a legitimate title contender, & not to mention we have the best player in the world. For example Mo Will became a team player when everyone had the same concerns I'm hearing about Crawford. So lets try this, we can at least agree that Crawford definitely has the TALENT to be that dynamic side kick that Lebron needs and wants. I will agree their has to be some type of transformation to his game,.but once again I never said that this was the best deal out their. However I trust Mike Brown abilities to convey to Crawford are team first mentality. If he doesn't I think he would be a fa after next year so its worth a shot

Mike Brown won't bring anything out of Crawford, just like he doesn't for any of our players.. You should know by now that Crawford plays with no heart, he plays zero defense, he is a chucker, he is a ball hog, and last but not least, he has a bad contract. If we were to trade West, I'd prefer for it to be for Shaq than for it to be for Crawford.

There it is. West isn't the problem, and Crawford is a chucker.
