Re: good stephen curry comparison
I think Bibby is Curry's upside for sure. He's not going to be a total bust (since his shooting should at least keep him in the rotation) but I don't see him becoming a star.

I'd say he'll become something like Bibby/Mo Williams/Terry.

Jason Terry sounds like a good one.
The Bibby comparisons are strange. Sure they both can shoot, but Bibby has really poor lateral quickness for a PG.

That is probably the reason why they are comparing both players in the 1st place.

I see you have drank the Kool Aid. Steve Nash and Steph Curry could not be more different.

lol, you know what the funny this is? Guess who the 2 groups who compared them are?
If you guessed Don Nelson, and the Phoenix Suns organization, you're right!
Catchall:The Bucks traded him for Monta Ellis and did well in that trade. If they can move Biedrins and Jefferson without losing much more than Barnes and another pick, I will be genuinely impressed.Iguodala is a short-sighted contract. Overrated player.

Agree 100%. While I have warmed up a little towards him since draft day (the kid's got a knack for interviews, what can I say) I still don't think he's going to be a "star" in any meaningful sense of the word. At best he's a Bibby-level player, at worst he's a shorter Jason Kapono.

I think at worst he can be a 6th man scorer in the Vinnie Johnson mode and at best can be an AI Light or Ben Gordon clone. What he is not, is a pass first table setting point guard like Nash.

Don't see the comparisons
I don't think hes nearly as good of a slasher/nearly as quick as either of those guys, but hes a more pure shooter (though barbosa is pretty dangerous), and probably a better facilitator.

??? Monta Ellis is one of the fastest players in the NBA with the ball. Curry is no more than average speed wise for a point (if you believe that he's actually an NBA PG).

Curry has looked good in his first two summer league games. He's lived up to his rep as a great shooter who can score in multiple ways. But as far as the 'point guard' billing..not so much. I see a natural scorer out there is capable of setting up teammates on occasion. His shot has been on point course, and he actually surprised me a bit with his lateral quickness on D. Even though he's fouling a bit too much, he's making a good effort to stay in front of his man.
As far as his numbers, they kind of remind me of Bayless last year. If you play 35 plus minutes and take hella shots you're gonna put up some numbers with all these whistles and no fouling out.
